**Chapter 1: The Unlikely Discovery**
Part 1
Juzzou Suzuya's life was a mess. His adoptive mother, Big Madam, had made sure of it. The 22-year-old boy had grown accustomed to the pain and abuse that came with living under her roof. His red eyes, black short hair, and porcelain-like complexion made him look like a fragile doll, but it was his inner strength that kept him going. Suzuya's love for sweets, especially pudding and Twinkies, was one of the few things that brought him joy. As he walked home from work, Suzuya's thoughts drifted to the stack of bills waiting for him on the kitchen counter. Big Madam had a way of making him feel like he was worthless, and he often found solace in his favorite snacks. His coworkers, Tooru Mutsuki and Hasie Sasakie, had tried to be supportive, but they didn't understand the extent of his situation. Suzuya's eyes wandered to the small alleyway he was about to pass when he heard a faint meowing sound. He stopped and listened, and the meows grew louder. Following the sound, he discovered a small cardboard box hidden behind a dumpster. Curious, Suzuya opened the box and found four adorable cat-like creatures, each with distinct features. There was Hanbee, the tallest one, with long black hair and piercing green eyes. Nakarai, with his blonde short hair and cat-like black eyes, looked like a fierce predator. Tamaki, with his brown neck-length hair and brown eyes, seemed like a laid-back college student. And then there was Mikage, with his short black hair, black eyes, and a single earring, exuding an air of mystery. Suzuya's heart melted as he gazed at the four creatures. He had no idea how they had ended up in the alleyway, but he knew he couldn't leave them behind. As he picked them up, one by one, they nuzzled his chest, purring contentedly. The cat-like creatures, who Suzuya would later learn were called Nekos, seemed to sense his kindness and affection. As he cradled them in his arms, he felt an inexplicable connection, like he had found something he never knew he needed. Suzuya decided to take the Nekos back to his place, hoping Big Madam wouldn't mind. As they walked, he introduced himself to each of them, and they responded with soft meows and purrs. Upon arriving at his apartment, Suzuya set the Nekos down on the couch, where they began to explore their new surroundings. Hanbee immediately gravitated towards Suzuya, clinging to his leg like a shadow. Nakarai jumped onto the windowsill, gazing outside with interest. Tamaki began to sniff around the room, while Mikage curled up on the couch, watching Suzuya with an intense stare. As Suzuya observed the Nekos, he couldn't shake off the feeling that his life was about to change in ways he couldn't imagine. Little did he know that these four creatures would become his soulmates, and that their bond would transcend the boundaries of human and Neko. The fate that awaited Suzuya and the Nekos would be a journey of self-discovery, love, and acceptance, one that would challenge the norms of society and push the boundaries of the heart.
