Chapter 1: "It's-a Time for Rescue...Finally!"

The sun was setting over the Mushroom Kingdom, casting a warm orange glow over the lush green grass and pipes. Mario and Luigi, the famous brothers, were lounging on the couch, playing video games and snacking on chips. But they were getting restless. "Ugh, I'm so bored," Mario said, tossing his controller aside. "It's been over a month since we rescued Princess Peach. I'm starting to think Bowser's given up." "Yeah, and it's not like we're getting any younger," Luigi added, stretching his arms. "I mean, we're plumbers, not retired plumbers! It's-a time for some action!" Just then, a TV in the background caught their attention. A news anchor was shouting, "Breaking news! Reports are coming in that a notorious villain, known for his dastardly kidnappings, has set his sights on a new target: Link, the legendary hero from the land of Hyrule!" The Mario brothers exchanged a look of excitement. "It's-a Mario time!" they chimed in unison, jumping off the couch. But before they could even process the news, the TV screen flickered and changed to a live shot of a sinister-looking villain, cackling maniacally. "Ah ha ha ha! You think you're so clever, heroes? But I've got a plan to kidnap every Link in the multiverse! And it starts with...this one!" The screen showed a shot of Link, the hero from Hyrule, being dragged away by the villain's minions. The Mario brothers were about to charge into action when the doorbell rang at their house. It was Toad, looking frantic. "Mario brothers! It's-a emergency! Sir Lionel Frost, the famous explorer, just called me. Some villain is trying to kidnap a Sasquatch named Susan Link, and he's got a reputation for kidnapping Links from all over the multiverse!" The brothers rushed to the phone and dialed the number Toad gave them. Sir Lionel Frost answered, sounding frazzled. "Ah, thank goodness you're calling! This villain, he's got a fiendish plan to collect all the Links! He's after Susan Link, my friend, and I fear for her safety!" The Mario brothers exchanged a look. This was their chance to get back into action. "Don't worry, Sir Lionel," Mario said. "We're on it! We'll-a rescue Susan Link and stop that villain!" But little did they know, this was just the beginning of a wild adventure that would take them across the multiverse, teaming up with unlikely allies and facing off against the most diabolical villain the world had ever seen...
