"Laughter and Unseen Eyes"
Part 71
As we stepped into the 1v1 arena, the crowd's cheers and chants grew louder, but I couldn't shake off the humiliation of wearing the cheerleading outfit. Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kirishima, Shinso, Monoma, and Osby were still grinning at me, and I was convinced they were enjoying my misery. But little did I know, their laughter wasn't entirely at my expense. As they gazed at me, they couldn't help but think I looked adorable in the pink and white outfit. Deku's eyes sparkled with amusement, and Bakugo's chuckles seemed to hold a hint of affection. Meanwhile, in a distant location, a different set of eyes was fixed on me. Shigaraki, the leader of the League of Villains, sat in front of a screen displaying the sports festival. He pointed at the image of me, and Kurogiri replied, "She's wearing a cheerleader outfit." Shigaraki's stare lingered on the screen, his expression unreadable. Kurogiri continued to provide a play-by-play of the festival, but Shigaraki's attention remained fixed on me. In another part of the city, Hawks, the Wing Hero, was also watching the sports festival with his assistants. As he gazed at the screen, his eyes widened in surprise. "Is she wearing a cheerleader outfit?" he asked, a hint of laughter in his voice. His assistants turned to him, curious about his reaction. Hawks' smile faltered, and he cleared his throat, choosing not to comment further. However, his eyes continued to be drawn to the screen, where I was trying to maintain my composure despite the embarrassing outfit. As the 1v1 battles began, I steeled myself for the challenges ahead. My friends and I exchanged determined glances, and I pushed aside the mortification of wearing the cheerleader outfit. But unbeknownst to me, my image had already caught the attention of some of the most powerful individuals in the hero and villain worlds. The crowd's cheers grew louder, and the battles commenced. I took a deep breath, focusing on the task at hand. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched, that unspoken opinions were being formed about me. Little did I know, my cheerleading outfit had set off a chain reaction, one that would have far-reaching consequences.
