Chapter 36: The Sinister Spotlight
Part 35
That's when Shigaraki notices me from afar and says, “Kurogiri, get that girl right there,” he points at me, his voice dripping with malice. My heart sank as I tried to process what was happening. I attempted to run, but my legs felt like lead, as if rooted to the spot. Before I could even react, Kurogiri teleported me to Shigaraki's location, his sinister grin gleaming in the light. I was now mere feet away from the villain, and I could feel his cold breath on my skin. I was terrified, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. As I stood there, frozen in fear, I tried to hide the look on my face, but I knew it was too late. Aizawa-sensei, who had been fighting off villains in the distance, noticed the sudden change in my location and sprinted towards us. Shigaraki's eyes gleamed with excitement as he watched Aizawa approach. I screamed, “No, don't! He can kill you! His Quirk is Decay!” I yelled out to Aizawa, my voice shaking with fear. Shigaraki's eyes snapped to mine, and he sneered, “I thought I told you not to say anything, you little bitch.” His words cut deep, and I felt a lump form in my throat. I wanted to cry, to beg for mercy, but I refused to give Shigaraki the satisfaction. I squared my shoulders, trying to appear braver than I felt. Aizawa-sensei, oblivious to the danger that lurked beneath Shigaraki's Quirk, continued to charge towards us. Shigaraki's eyes flicked to Aizawa, and he chuckled, clearly entertained by the teacher's bravery. I knew I had to think fast, to come up with a plan to protect Aizawa-sensei, but my mind was a blank. All I could do was stand there, frozen in terror, as Shigaraki's Quirk began to stir, ready to strike.
