"A Chance Reunion"
Part 2
As they finished their coffee, Emma glanced at her watch and exclaimed, "I'm so sorry, Dan, but I have to run. I have a bunch of things to do today, but I was thinking, why don't you come over for a sleepover tonight? I've got a bunch of old movies we can watch, and we can catch up some more." Daniel's eyes lit up at the invitation. A sleepover with Emma sounded like just what he needed - a chance to relax and be himself around someone who knew him inside and out. "That sounds amazing," he said, trying to contain his excitement. Emma grinned and scribbled down her address on a napkin. "I'll pick you up at 7. We'll have a blast, I promise." As they parted ways, Daniel couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia. He hadn't been to a sleepover in years, and the thought of hanging out with Emma, just the two of them, was incredibly appealing. He spent the rest of the day in a daze, his mind wandering back to the good old days on set. He and Emma had always gotten along famously, and he was excited to see if their friendship could pick up where it left off. At 7 pm sharp, Daniel heard a knock on his door. He opened it to find Emma standing there with a big smile on her face, carrying a large tote bag. "Hey, sleepover buddy!" she exclaimed, breezing past him into his apartment. As they settled in for the night, Daniel couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and ease with Emma that he hadn't experienced in a long time. They spent hours chatting and laughing, reminiscing about old times and sharing stories about their lives since Hogwarts. At some point, Emma pulled out a old VHS player and a stack of movies from her bag. "I brought the essentials," she said, winking at Daniel. They spent the evening watching old classics, eating ice cream, and giggling like they used to when they were on set. As the night wore on, Daniel found himself feeling more and more at ease with Emma. He realized that he had missed her, and that their friendship was something he truly cherished. As they settled in for the night, Emma pulled out a couple of cozy blankets and they snuggled up on the couch, watching a rom-com from the 90s. Daniel couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this comfortable around someone. As the movie ended and the credits rolled, Emma turned to him and said, "You know, Dan, I've been thinking. We've both been through so much since Hogwarts. I think it's time we had a good old-fashioned sleepover, just like we used to." Daniel raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What did you have in mind?" Emma grinned mischievously. "Just wait and see." And with that, she pulled out a couple of pajama sets and a sleeping bag, and Daniel knew that this was going to be a night to remember.
