**Confronting the Past**
Part 8
The tall guy's eyes seemed to bore into my soul as he approached me, his massive frame towering over me. I tried to stand my ground, but my heart was racing with fear. "You," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You saw her, the girl that gave me instructions. She was wrong, and you were there!" He took a step closer, his fists clenched, and I could feel my legs trembling beneath me. I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. The guy's eyes seemed to flash with anger, and he took another step closer. I was scared, truly scared, and I could feel my body shutting down. Suddenly, he lunged at me, and I flinched, expecting the worst. But before he could touch me, Overhaul appeared out of nowhere, his eyes fixed on the guy. The guy didn't seem to notice him, and Overhaul's hand closed around his arm. The sound of the guy's body exploding was like nothing I'd ever heard before. It was a sickening crunch, followed by a spray of blood and tissue that seemed to splatter everywhere. I stumbled backward, horrified, as Overhaul calmly pulled the guy's body back together. The guy's eyes flickered open, and he gasped for air, looking around in confusion. Overhaul's quirk was incredible - it could destroy things and bring them back to normal. But as I watched, I realized that it was also terrifying. Overhaul turned to me, his eyes narrowing. I didn't need to see anything else. I turned and ran, my legs pumping as I sprinted away from the scene. I knew that if I didn't get away, Overhaul would have killed me next. I could feel his eyes on me, and I didn't dare look back. I ran as fast as I could, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I had to get away from Overhaul. I could still see the look in his eyes, the cold calculation as he brought the guy back to life. I shuddered at the thought of what he could do to me. As I ran, I stumbled and staggered, my breath coming in ragged gasps. I didn't dare look back, fearing what I might see. Finally, I saw a familiar landmark in the distance - the school building. I burst through the doors, slamming them shut behind me. I leaned against the door, panting, my heart still racing with fear. I knew I had to tell someone about Overhaul, about what I'd just seen. But who would believe me? And what would happen if Overhaul found out I'd seen him? I shuddered at the thought, knowing that I had to be careful. Very careful.
