An Unsettling Encounter
Part 2
The group launched into a conversation with Sangwoo, trying to draw him out and get to know him better. Rage and Silky were in high spirits, joking and teasing Sangwoo about his striking appearance. Lacy and Ron chatted with him about his interests, but Sangwoo's responses were brief and lacking in enthusiasm. His eyes, however, remained fixed on Jason, who was growing increasingly uncomfortable under the intense gaze. As the conversation dragged on, Jason shifted his weight, trying to edge away from Sangwoo. But Sangwoo seemed to be rooted to the spot, his eyes never leaving Jason's face. Adapt, sensing Jason's growing unease, tried to intervene, steering the conversation towards more general topics. But Sangwoo was not interested. "So, what do you do for a living?" Lacy asked, trying to keep the conversation light. Sangwoo's response was monosyllabic, his eyes still locked on Jason. "I'm a writer." The group chatted with him for a bit longer, but it was clear that Sangwoo was not really participating. He seemed to be waiting for something, his eyes burning with an unnerving intensity. Adapt, sensing Jason's discomfort, tried to find an excuse to leave. "Well, it was great meeting you, Sangwoo, but we should probably get going. We have a livestream to get back to." But Sangwoo was not having it. He stood up, his eyes never leaving Jason's face. "I think we've only just started talking," he said, his voice low and smooth. Jason took a step back, his heart racing. He felt trapped, like he was being herded towards some unknown fate. The others seemed oblivious to the tension, but Adapt's eyes flicked towards Jason, concern etched on his face. Just as it seemed like Sangwoo was going to continue questioning Jason, Ron tried to grab Jason's arm, pulling him closer for comfort. But Sangwoo's expression snapped, his eyes flashing with anger. "Don't touch him," he growled, his voice low and menacing. The group froze, taken aback by Sangwoo's sudden outburst. Jason took a step back, his eyes wide with fear. What had just happened? And what did Sangwoo want from him?
