**A Fragile Moment**

Part 46

As I stood there, surrounded by my friends, I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down, but my voice still trembled with annoyance and hurt. "Why are you calling me Matsumoto? My name is Vesper, for God's sake!" I exclaimed, my eyes welling up with tears. Mina and Ochaco exchanged a glance, looking taken aback by my outburst. "Sorry, Vesper, we are just used to calling you that," they chimed in unison, their voices soft and apologetic. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of being misunderstood. I felt like I was losing my grip on my emotions, and before I knew it, tears began to stream down my face. "They really scared me, I thought they were going to hurt me," I sobbed, my body shaking with each ragged breath. The room fell silent, and I could feel the weight of everyone's gaze on me. The boys looked horrible, their faces etched with guilt and regret. Deku's eyes were downcast, Bakugo's jaw was clenched, and Todoroki's face was pale. But despite their obvious discomfort, they didn't back down. They stayed there, frozen in place, as if waiting for me to collapse. Mina and Ochaco immediately wrapped their arms around me, holding me close as I cried. "Shh, Vesper, it's okay," Mina whispered, her voice a gentle soothing melody. "We're here for you, and we won't let anything happen to you." Ochaco nodded in agreement, her eyes brimming with tears. "We're so sorry, Vesper. We should have been more careful." As I cried, I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I was scared, hurt, and frustrated, but at the same time, I was grateful for my friends' support. They were there for me, and they weren't going anywhere. The boys' faces were etched with regret, and I could sense their genuine remorse. They looked like they were willing to do anything to make it right, to take back what had happened. But for now, I just needed to be held, to be comforted, and to know that I was safe. As the tears began to subside, Mina and Ochaco held me tighter, their grip a reassuring presence. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. I knew I still had a long way to go, but with my friends by my side, I felt like I could face anything.
