**Chapter 14: Whispers to the Bump**
Part 14
As Maya drifted off to sleep, Sean gently lay down beside her, his hand instinctively reaching for her belly. He had been doing this a lot lately, talking to the little one growing inside her, and today was no exception. He smiled to himself as he thought about how much he already loved their baby, even though it was still just a tiny speck. "Hey there, little one," Sean whispered, his voice low and soothing. "How's Mommy doing today? I know she's been feeling pretty crummy, but don't worry, I'm taking good care of her." He gently laid his head on Maya's breasts, listening to the sound of her heartbeat and the gentle hum of her breathing. Maya stirred slightly, a soft smile on her face as she felt Sean's head on her chest. She reached up and gently stroked his hair, her eyes still half-closed. "I know you're going to be a great Mom," Sean continued, his voice a gentle whisper. "You're already an amazing person, and I just know you'll be an incredible mother. And I'll be right here beside you, supporting you every step of the way." As he talked, Sean felt a sense of peace wash over him. He was excited to meet their baby, to hold them in his arms and look into their eyes. He was scared, too, of course - parenthood was a big responsibility - but with Maya by his side, he felt like he could handle anything. Maya's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled up at Sean. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice husky with sleep. "Just having a chat with the baby," Sean replied, his head still on her chest. "I was just telling them how much I love them already, and how much you're going to be an amazing Mom." Maya's smile softened, and she reached down to touch Sean's head. "I love you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Sean looked up at her, his eyes shining with love. "I love you too," he said. "And I love our little one, too. We're going to be a great team, just you wait and see." As they lay there, Sean's head still on Maya's chest, they both felt a sense of contentment wash over them. They knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with each other, they felt like they could face anything.
