"A Twist of Fate"
Part 2
As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the school grounds, Y/n found herself lost in thought as she walked back to her dormitory. The events of the day had left her reeling, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that her life had been turned upside down. She had just finished a long day of classes, and her mind was still trying to process the unfamiliar surroundings and the people she had met. As she turned a corner, her eyes wandered back to Lelouch, who was sitting on a bench, staring intently at a book in his hands. She felt a strange sense of calm wash over her as she watched him, and before she knew it, her feet seemed to be moving of their own accord, carrying her towards him. Just as she was about to pass by the bench, a strong gust of wind swept through the area, catching her off guard. Her books and papers flew out of her hands, scattering in all directions. Y/n let out a frustrated cry as she chased after them, but it was too late. A particularly strong gust blew a sheet of paper right into a nearby puddle, and Y/n let out a dismayed gasp. In a split second, Lelouch sprang into action, quickly getting up from the bench to help her. But in his haste, his feet slipped on the wet ground, and he stumbled. Y/n, still trying to catch her papers, didn't see it coming. Before she could react, Lelouch wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close as he lost his balance. Y/n found herself tumbling to the ground, Lelouch's arms still wrapped tightly around her. She landed with a soft thud, her face pressed against his chest. The world around her seemed to spin, and for a moment, she forgot to breathe. Lelouch's eyes widened in surprise as he realized what had happened. He stared down at Y/n, his face inches from hers. For a moment, they just lay there, frozen in time. Y/n could feel Lelouch's heart beating rapidly against her ear, and she felt a flush rise to her cheeks. As the reality of the situation sunk in, Y/n's face grew hotter, and she quickly scrambled to get up. "I-I'm so sorry," she stuttered, trying to brush off her clothes. Lelouch, however, seemed reluctant to let her go. His arms lingered around her waist, holding her in place. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and husky. Y/n nodded, still feeling a bit dazed. As Lelouch finally released her, she took a step back, trying to compose herself. The sound of approaching footsteps broke the silence, and Emilia appeared, a concerned look on her face. "Y/n, are you alright? I saw you fall and rushed over." Y/n forced a smile, still feeling a bit flustered. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little clumsy, that's all." Lelouch, however, seemed to be gazing at her with an intensity that made her skin prickle. Y/n felt a shiver run down her spine as she met his eyes, and for a moment, she wondered if he saw something in her that she didn't even see herself.
