Chapter 90: The Countdown Begins

Part 90

The evening air was crisp and cool as Noah pulled up to his mother's house, Jacquie watching from the passenger seat as he helped the kids out of their car seats. Ellie, Aca, and Mys were bubbling with excitement, chattering about spending the night with Grandma and Grandpa. Noah smiled, trying to distract them from Jacquie's obvious nervousness. "Okay, girls, time to get out and go have some fun with Grandma and Grandpa," Noah said, lifting Ellie out of her car seat first. Jacquie handed him her purse and a small bag with essentials for the hospital. As Noah handed the kids over to his mother, who was waiting on the porch with a warm smile, Jacquie felt a pang of anxiety. She was scheduled to have her C-section in just a few hours, and she was starting to feel a mix of emotions. Noah came back to the car, gave Jacquie a reassuring kiss on the cheek, and said, "I'll be right back, I'll just help the kids get settled and then I'll meet you at the hospital." As he drove away, Jacquie took a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves. She glanced at her watch, seeing that it was almost time to head to the hospital. She started the car and made her way to the hospital, feeling a sense of anticipation and nervousness building up inside her. Meanwhile, Noah helped the kids settle into his parents' house, making sure they had everything they needed for the night. His mother, Judy, handed him a bag with some snacks and water for Jacquie. "In case she needs anything," she said with a smile. Noah nodded, feeling grateful for his supportive family. As he pulled out of his parents' driveway, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. He was about to become a father of three, and he was eager to meet their little ones. As he arrived at the hospital, he could see Jacquie sitting in the waiting area, looking pale but calm. He rushed over to her, giving her a gentle hug. "Hey, how are you doing?" he asked, concern etched on his face. Jacquie smiled weakly, taking his hand. "I'm okay, just a little nervous," she admitted. Noah squeezed her hand reassuringly. "You're going to do great," he said. "And I'll be right here with you the whole time." Together, they stood up and made their way to the operating room, ready to welcome their triplets into the world.
