After the Encore
Part 4
The rush of adrenaline from the performance still lingered in my veins as I made my way to the bar with the crew, the sounds of cheering fans and thumping music slowly fading into the background. We had just finished a blistering show, and everyone was in high spirits, laughing and joking as we walked into the dimly lit bar. The neon signs outside cast a colorful glow on the sidewalk, and the smell of drinks and music filled the air. I was exhausted but exhilarated, still buzzing from the energy of the crowd. As we made our way to the bar, I ordered a drink and took a seat on one of the stools, letting out a deep breath as I surveyed the surroundings. The bar was a cozy, intimate space, with a live band playing in the corner and patrons chatting and laughing over drinks. I took a sip of my drink, feeling the cool liquid slide down my throat, and let my gaze wander around the room. That's when I saw him – a guy sitting at the end of the bar, his eyes locked on mine as he smiled. I smiled back, feeling a spark of connection, and he raised his glass in a silent toast. I raised my own glass in response, and he got up from his seat, making his way towards me. "Hi," he said, his voice low and smooth as he took a seat next to me. "I'm Gerald." "I'm Ashley," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, but my heart racing with excitement. "But my fans call me Halsey." Gerald's eyes lit up with recognition, and he smiled. "I'm a big fan," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I've seen you live a few times. You have an incredible energy on stage." I blushed, feeling a flush rise to my cheeks. "Thanks," I said, smiling back at him. "That means a lot coming from you." We chatted for a while, exchanging small talk and getting to know each other. Gerald was easy to talk to, and I found myself laughing and joking with him like we were old friends. The crew was still chatting and laughing around us, but I was focused on him, enjoying the conversation and the connection we shared. As the night wore on, I realized that I didn't want to talk to anyone else – just him. I was having the time of my life, and I didn't want it to end. I glanced at my phone, seeing that it was getting late, but I didn't care. I was having too much fun. Gerald seemed to sense my gaze and turned to me with a smile. "Want to grab some fresh air with me?" he asked, his voice low and inviting. I nodded, feeling a spark of excitement. I had a feeling that this was just the beginning of something special.
