Unraveling the Mystery
Part 3
Harry's deep voice rumbled as he tried to explain to John how he ended up in his current predicament. "Me...Harry...find...self...here. No remember...how. You...help...me...escape." John's brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to decipher Harry's broken English. "You mean you don't remember how you got here? Or who brought you here?" Harry shook his head, his furrowed brow a picture of confusion. "No...no remember. Just...wake up...here." Meanwhile, Jackson and Jasper had wandered off, their minds racing with theories about Harry's past. "I bet he was a secret agent," Jackson whispered to Jasper, "and he got captured by the bad guys." Jasper grinned. "No way, I think he was a famous rockstar and he got kidnapped by a rival musician." Olivia rolled her eyes good-naturedly as she listened to her brothers' outlandish theories. But then, her expression turned thoughtful. She recalled a conversation she had with the resort's current owner, who had mentioned that the previous owner had been a bit of an eccentric. As she pondered, a memory began to form in her mind. She remembered reading an old newspaper article about the previous owner, a wealthy businessman who had been fascinated by cryptozoology. The article had mentioned his obsession with finding and capturing a yeti. A sudden realization dawned on Olivia. "Guys, I think I know what happened to Harry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The twins turned to her, their faces eager for more. "What is it?" Jackson asked. Olivia's eyes locked onto John, who was still trying to communicate with Harry. "I think it was the previous owner of the ski resort who did this to Harry. He must have captured him and put him on display." John's eyes widened as he turned to Olivia. "That makes sense," he said. "But why would he do that?" Olivia's expression turned grim. "Because he was obsessed with proving the existence of the yeti. He probably wanted to study him, or show him off to the world." As the family pieced together the truth, Harry's eyes seemed to cloud over, as if memories were beginning to resurface. He growled softly, his massive body tensing. John placed a reassuring hand on Harry's arm. "Don't worry, Harry. We're here for you now. We'll help you figure out what happened, and we'll make sure you're safe." Harry's gaze locked onto John's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, a connection forming between them. Then, Harry nodded, his massive body relaxing slightly. The family stood there in silence for a moment, the only sound the creaking of the old resort. Then, John spoke up. "We should get out of here, and find some food and shelter for Harry. He must be starving." As they made their way out of the resort, Olivia couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the resort held, and what lay ahead for them and Harry.
