A New Set of Clothes
Part 12
Finley beamed with enthusiasm as he led Kael to a section of the shop filled with an assortment of garments. "Let's see...for a traveler, I think you'll want something durable, yet comfortable. And of course, it must be stylish," he said with a wink. He presented Kael with a variety of tunics and breeches in different colors and fabrics. Kael tried on a few outfits, but none of them seemed quite right. Lyra offered her opinions, suggesting that some of the garments were too flashy, while others were too plain. As Finley continued to show Kael various options, Lyra chatted with him about the latest fashions and trends in Oakwood. Kael, however, remained focused on finding the perfect outfit. Finally, Finley held up a simple yet elegant ensemble consisting of a deep purple tunic, black breeches, and a black cloak with white lining. "What do you think, my young friend?" he asked. Kael looked at himself in the mirror and nodded in approval. "I think I'll take this one," he said, smiling. Lyra smiled, pleased with Kael's choice. "You look much more presentable now," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. With Kael's new outfit secured, Lyra suggested that they look for a weapon shop. "You're going to need a proper sword and some gear if you're going to travel the countryside," she said. Kael nodded, feeling a sense of excitement at the prospect of acquiring a new sword. Lyra led him through the winding streets of Oakwood, asking for directions from the locals. After a short while, they came to a small shop with a sign that read "Raven's Edge". Lyra pushed open the door, and they stepped inside. The shop was dimly lit, but Kael's eyes quickly adjusted to the soft light. Rows of swords, daggers, and other gear lined the walls, and a figure stood behind the counter, polishing a sword with a cloth. "Welcome to Raven's Edge," the figure said, looking up at them. "I'm Raven, the proprietor. How may I assist you?"
