**Deception and Betrayal**

Part 4

Joe's smile grew wider as he walked closer to Ashley, his eyes locked on hers with an intensity that made her feel uneasy. He moved with a confidence that was almost charming, but Ashley's instincts were screaming at her to be cautious. As he approached her, she felt a flutter in her chest, and her mind flashed back to the kindness he had shown her on the phone. She had been so desperate for help, so desperate for someone to trust. As Joe drew closer, Ashley tried to step back, but her back hit the wall, and she was trapped. Joe's eyes seemed to gleam with a knowing light, and he reached out a hand to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. His touch sent shivers down her spine, but not in a good way. Ashley felt a growing sense of unease, but she tried to push it aside, telling herself she was just being paranoid. "I'm glad you made it," Joe said, his voice low and husky. "You look happy today." His words were laced with a sweetness that seemed insincere, and Ashley's instincts screamed at her to be careful. As he spoke, Joe leaned in, his breath hot against her neck. Ashley felt a shiver run down her spine, but it wasn't pleasure that caused it. It was fear. She tried to push him off, but Joe's hands were already on her, holding her in place. "Joe, stop," she said, trying to keep her voice firm. But Joe just chuckled, his breath hot against her skin. "Don't be shy, Ashley," he whispered, his lips brushing against her neck. "I've been waiting for this." Ashley's mind was racing. Why had she trusted him? Why had she thought he was different? The memories of the men on the street, the ones who had hurt her and used her, came flooding back. She felt a wave of panic wash over her as Joe's hands moved down her body, his fingers probing and invasive. She tried to struggle, but Joe was too strong. He pushed her down, his weight pinning her to the floor. Ashley's thoughts were a jumbled mess of fear and despair. She had been so sure that Joe was the one person she could trust. But now, she realized that she had been blinded by her desperation. As Joe's assaulted her, Ashley's mind went numb. She felt like she was floating above her body, watching herself being hurt and violated. She couldn't believe that she had made such a terrible mistake. Joe's kindness had been a ruse, a way to gain her trust and get her to let her guard down. As the attack continued, Ashley's thoughts turned to anger and determination. She would not let Joe get away with this. She would not let him destroy her. She would fight back, and she would make him pay for what he had done to her. The thought gave her a spark of strength, and she clung to it, even as her body felt like it was shattered into a million pieces.
