A Night of Unraveling

Part 8

As Rin pushed open the door to their shared living space, a wave of relief washed over her. The coast seemed clear, with no sign of Saki in sight. Rin let out a quiet breath, her shoulders relaxing as she guided Nozomi inside. The pain and distress etched on Nozomi's face made Rin's heart ache, but she was determined to take care of her. Nozomi limped alongside Rin, her eyes fixed on the floor as she tried to process the searing pain that still lingered between her legs. Rin couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt, her mind racing with thoughts of how she was going to explain this to Saki. She had been so careful, but it seemed she had still managed to hurt Nozomi. As they entered the living room, Rin began to relax, thinking that maybe, just maybe, they would get away with it. But her calm was short-lived, as Saki emerged from the kitchen, a look of mild curiosity on her face. "Hey, girls," Saki said, her voice cheerful as she made her way towards them. Rin forced a smile, trying to appear nonchalant, but her eyes darted nervously towards Nozomi. Saki seemed oblivious to anything out of the ordinary, but Rin's anxiety grew with each step Saki took. At first, Saki didn't notice anything unusual, but as she drew closer, her gaze landed on Rin, who was trying to play it cool. However, Rin's eyes kept flicking towards Nozomi, who was squirming uncomfortably on the couch. Saki's eyes narrowed, her expression changing from casual to concerned. "Rin, what's going on?" Saki asked, her voice tinged with a hint of suspicion. Rin tried to brush it off, but Saki's eyes were already moving towards Nozomi. That's when she noticed Nozomi's red-rimmed eyes, and her expression darkened. "Hey, Nozomi, are you okay?" Saki asked, her voice softening as she took a step closer. Nozomi looked up, her eyes welling up with tears, and Rin's heart sank. She knew she was in trouble. Saki's gaze lingered on Nozomi, and Rin could almost see the wheels turning in her head. She was piecing together the clues, and it wouldn't be long before she put two and two together. Rin's anxiety spiked as Saki took another step closer to Nozomi, her eyes scanning her face. "Let's take a closer look," Saki said, her voice firm as she reached out to gently brush a strand of hair behind Nozomi's ear. Rin watched in horror as Saki's eyes widened, her gaze dropping to Nozomi's lips, which were pale and pinched. Rin knew she was running out of time. Saki was going to figure out what had happened, and when she did, Rin would be in grave trouble. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and she could only watch as Saki's expression turned from concern to suspicion, and finally, to anger.
