Fowl Play
Part 3
Andrew walked into the robotics club room, a sly smile spreading across his face as he scanned the room for his targets. Missy and Nate were huddled in a corner, deep in conversation, their faces inches apart as they made plans for after school. Andrew's eyes narrowed as he approached them, the binoculars around his neck a visible reminder of his newfound interest in bird watching. "Hey guys, I'm actually really excited about this," Andrew said, trying to sound as genuine as possible. "I was just researching some rare birds in the area and I think I might have spotted one. I'm planning on going on a hike this evening to get a closer look." Nate's ears perked up at the mention of bird watching, and he turned to Andrew with a look of excitement. "No way, I'm a huge bird enthusiast! What's the bird you're looking for?" Missy raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in her voice. "Wait, Andrew, you don't even like bird watching. You probably don't even know what it is." Andrew shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Hey, I'm just trying to get out and enjoy nature, you know? And I heard this bird is really rare, so I thought it would be a cool experience." Nate wasn't deterred by Missy's doubts, and he pushed past her to get to Andrew. "Dude, that's so cool! Can I come with you? I have to see this bird!" Andrew grinned, feeling a sense of satisfaction at how easily Nate was taking the bait. "Yeah, sure thing. I could use a partner in crime." Missy watched as Nate eagerly followed Andrew out of the classroom, a look of suspicion on her face. She knew Andrew was up to something, and she didn't like it one bit. As they walked out of the school, Nate turned to Andrew with a look of excitement. "Dude, I've been trying to spot that bird for weeks! What made you decide to go looking for it?" Andrew shrugged, trying to keep his scheme under wraps. "I just stumbled upon some info online, and I thought it sounded like a cool adventure. Plus, I could use some exercise." Nate nodded enthusiastically, already hooked on the idea of finding the rare bird. "I'm so down for this. Let's go find that bird!" As they walked, Andrew couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at how easily he had manipulated Nate. He knew it was a bit mean-spirited, but he was fed up with Missy's antics and he wanted to teach her a lesson. Little did he know, however, that this was just the beginning of a complicated game of cat and mouse, with Missy determined to get in the way and sabotage Andrew's plans. And as they walked deeper into the woods, Andrew couldn't shake the feeling that he was in for a wild ride.
