**A Lurking Sense of Unease**

Part 9

As the players finished their breakfast, the guards arrived to escort them to the next game. The room fell silent, with everyone exchanging nervous glances. Gihun stood up, helping Junhee to her feet, and the group followed the guards out of the bunk room. The second game was a maze-like obstacle course, where players had to navigate through a complex series of tunnels and walls to reach the exit. Gihun's team worked together seamlessly, using their unique skills to overcome the challenges. Myung-gi used his agility to climb up and retrieve a crucial key, while Jungbae used his strength to move a heavy block. Junhee and Gihun provided support, helping their teammates and keeping everyone's spirits high. As they progressed through the game, they could hear the sounds of screams and crashes from other teams. The guards didn't intervene, and it was clear that some teams were not as fortunate as Gihun's. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Gihun's team reached the exit, and they were greeted with a sense of relief and accomplishment. They had passed the game, but at what cost? As they looked around, they saw several teams had been eliminated, their players lying motionless on the ground. The guards led them back to the bunk room, where they were given a short break before being told to gather for another vote. The players exchanged worried glances, wondering what the vote could possibly be about. As they gathered, the granny sat with Junhee, her son, and player 120, forming a small circle of concerned faces. Junhee was still recovering from her pregnancy, and the granny kept a watchful eye on her. Myung-gi and Gihun sat nearby, chatting nervously about the game and their chances of survival. Young-il sat beside Myung-gi, his eyes fixed intently on him. The granny couldn't help but notice the way Young-il seemed to be breathing down Myung-gi's neck, his presence suffocating. The granny broke the silence, her voice low and cautious. "Young-il is acting a bit strange, don't you think?" Player 120 looked at her curiously. "What do you mean?" The granny leaned in, her eyes darting around the room. "Ever since player 333 joined the group, he's barely left his side." Junhee nodded in agreement. "I know what you mean, Ma. Yesterday, Myung-gi looked like he was going to faint when Young-il had his arm wrapped around him. And today, Daeho said that Myung-gi made a pained sound around the same time." The granny added, "Today, during breakfast, Young-il asked to sit next to Myung-gi. I agreed, but Myung-gi didn't look too happy. Moments later, Young-il started to touch Myung-gi's lower back, and Myung-gi looked distressed." Player 120 and the granny's son exchanged a concerned glance. The son spoke up, "Maybe that's just how Young-il is. I mean, he was really touchy with Gihun and Jungbae yesterday as well. And maybe Myung-gi got hurt when he got beat by 230 and 124 yesterday. Don't worry too much about it, Ma." Player 120 nodded in agreement, but the granny's expression remained skeptical. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off about Young-il's behavior, and she made a mental note to keep a closer eye on him. The vote began, and the players were asked to decide on a proposal that would determine their fate in the game. As they cast their votes, Myung-gi couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, sensing that their situation was about to take a dark turn. The results of the vote were announced, and the players were informed that they would be staying in the game for a longer period than they had anticipated. The room fell silent, with some players expressing frustration and despair. Myung-gi, Gihun, and the others exchanged worried glances, wondering what lay ahead and how they would survive the challenges that awaited them.
