"Unraveling the Truth"

Part 2

Ryah's eyes locked onto Silky's, searching for answers, but he just smiled and snuggled deeper into the side hug with Jason. Adapt, still looking flustered, cleared his throat and tried to speak, but Silky beat him to it. "Hey, Ryah, why don't you join us? We're just having a little chill session." Ryah's gaze flicked to Jason and Adapt, then back to Silky. She felt a pang of discomfort, realizing that she had walked in on something she wasn't meant to see. "I think I'll just go," she said, trying to sound casual, but her voice came out stiff. Silky's smile faltered for a moment, and he exchanged a glance with Jason and Adapt. "Actually, Ryah, I think we need to talk," he said, his voice low and smooth. Ryah's heart skipped a beat as Silky stood up, still holding Jason close. Adapt shifted uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact with Ryah. The air in the room was thick with tension, and Ryah could feel the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air. "What's going on here?" Ryah asked, her voice firm but controlled. She took a step back, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for an escape route. Silky chuckled and walked towards her, Jason still wrapped in his arms. "I think it's time we cleared the air, don't you?" he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Ryah's gaze narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. "You're dating them, aren't you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. The room fell silent, and Silky's smile grew wider. "We're more than just roommates," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. Ryah's eyes widened in shock, and she felt like she'd been punched in the gut. She had suspected that Silky might be interested in someone, but she had never imagined that he was in a relationship with not one, but two people. "Jason, Adapt, and I have been together for a while now," Silky explained, his voice calm and collected. "We're a polyamorous relationship, and we've been happy together." Ryah's mind reeled as she tried to process the information. Polyamorous? She had never considered that Silky might be in a non-traditional relationship. She felt a pang of guilt for assuming that he was interested in her. "So, what does this mean for us?" Ryah asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Silky's smile faltered for a moment, and he looked at her with a serious expression. "It means that I value honesty and communication, Ryah. And I think we need to talk about what you wanted from me." Ryah's face grew hot as she realized that Silky knew exactly why she had come to his room. She had been trying to get close to him, to see if there was something between them. But now, she felt like a fool. "I...I just wanted some lotion," she stammered, trying to play it cool. Silky chuckled and walked closer to her. "I think there's more to it than that, Ryah. And I think we need to talk about it." The air in the room was charged with tension, and Ryah knew that she had to make a decision. She could walk away, pretend that she didn't know anything, or she could face the truth and see where it took her.
