Chapter 280: Refusal of Desperation "Actually no I'm not," I say firmly, my voice steady as I meet Shigaraki's gaze. The air in the room seems to thicken, heavy with tension, as Shigaraki's smile falters and his eyes narrow. The sudden interruption of the underling's news seems to have given me a temporary reprieve, but I know it won't last long. The Hero Society's arrival will change the dynamics of the situation, and I need to use this brief window of opportunity to my advantage. Shigaraki's eyes flash with anger, but he seems to be calculating his next move, weighing his options carefully.
