**Spiraling Down**
Part 9
As the days turned into weeks, Taehyun's addiction only continued to worsen. He stopped taking care of himself, stopped eating, and stopped sleeping. His room became a mess, with empty pill bottles and dirty clothes scattered all over the floor. Soobin tried to intervene, but Taehyun pushed him away, not wanting to be helped. One day, as he was lying in his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, he heard a knock on the door. It was Yeonjun, who had stopped by to check on him. Taehyun hadn't seen Yeonjun in a while, and he wasn't sure why he had come to visit. "Hey, Tae," Yeonjun said, his voice soft and concerned. "I heard you've been struggling. Is everything okay?" Taehyun shrugged, not bothering to respond. Yeonjun looked around the room, taking in the mess. "You need to get out of here, Tae. You need some fresh air." Taehyun laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "I don't need fresh air, Yeonjun. I need pills." Yeonjun's expression didn't change, but Taehyun could see a flicker of concern in his eyes. "I'm not here to lecture you, Tae," Yeonjun said. "I'm here to help." Taehyun raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "You can't help me, Yeonjun. No one can." Yeonjun sat down on the bed next to him, his presence calm and soothing. "I'm not going to try to fix you, Tae," he said. "I just want to be here for you." As they sat there in silence, Taehyun felt a sense of comfort that he hadn't felt in a long time. Yeonjun didn't try to judge him or lecture him. He just sat there, being present. Over the next few days, Yeonjun stopped by to visit Taehyun more and more often. They would sit in silence, or Yeonjun would talk to him about his day. Taehyun found himself looking forward to Yeonjun's visits, and he started to feel a sense of connection with him that he hadn't felt with Soobin in a long time. As Taehyun's addiction worsened, Yeonjun was there, holding his hand through the darkest moments. He didn't try to intervene or stop Taehyun's behavior. He just sat there with him, being a presence in his life. Taehyun started to rely on Yeonjun more and more, and their bond grew stronger. They would spend hours talking, or just sitting in silence. Taehyun felt like he could be himself around Yeonjun, without fear of judgment. Soobin tried to warn Yeonjun about Taehyun's addiction, but Yeonjun just shook his head. "I know, Soobin," he said. "But I want to be there for him. I want to help him, in my own way." As the weeks turned into months, Taehyun's addiction continued to spiral out of control. But with Yeonjun by his side, he felt like he wasn't alone. He felt like he had someone who understood him, someone who cared. And as they sat together in the darkness, Taehyun knew that he was exactly where he wanted to be. He was lost, and he was falling, but with Yeonjun by his side, he felt like he could face anything.
