Aftermath of Emotions
Part 6
The silence that followed the Titan's dissolution was almost deafening. Levi and I stood there, our chests heaving with exertion, our eyes locked on the spot where the creature had once stood. The blue energy had dissipated, leaving behind only a faint glow that slowly faded into nothingness. As the reality of our situation sunk in, Levi turned to me, his eyes searching mine. I could see the unspoken question in their depths, the uncertainty about what had just happened between us. I felt my heart still racing from the kiss, my senses heightened as I waited for his response. Levi's gaze lingered on mine for a moment before he looked away, his jaw clenched. "We should report back to Commander Erwin," he said, his voice low and rough. I nodded, still trying to process the emotions swirling inside me. As we made our way back to the Scout Regiment's base, the tension between us was palpable. It wasn't just the uncertainty of our mission that hung in the air, but the unspoken feelings that had surfaced during the battle. As we walked, I couldn't help but steal glances at Levi, my mind replaying the kiss we had shared. It had been a moment of pure instinct, a spark of connection that had ignited between us. I wasn't sure what it meant, or where it would lead, but I knew that nothing would ever be the same again. The base came into view, and Levi quickened his pace. I followed close behind, my heart still racing with anticipation. What would happen next? Would we be able to put the emotions that had surfaced during the battle behind us, or would they continue to simmer just below the surface? As we entered the base, Commander Erwin's voice called out to us. "Levi, Eren! Report to my office immediately." Levi's eyes met mine, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of something there, something that looked almost like hope. But it was quickly replaced by his usual stoic expression, and he nodded curtly before turning towards the commander's office. I followed him, my heart pounding in my chest. What would the commander say? And what would happen next for us, now that the battle was over and our emotions had been laid bare?
