Chapter 6: The Darkness Closes In

Part 6

The phone slipped from Andrew's grasp, shattering on the floor as Judd's laughter echoed through the room. The sound sent a chill down Andrew's spine, and he knew he had to think fast. He glanced around the room, his eyes frantically searching for anything that could be used as a distraction. That's when he saw it - a small, heavy book on his nightstand. With a surge of adrenaline, Andrew grabbed the book and flung it at Judd. The book hit Judd's shoulder, but he barely flinched. Instead, he took another step closer to Andrew, his eyes burning with an unnerving intensity. Andrew backed away, his heart racing with fear. He tripped over his legs and fell onto the bed, landing with a soft thud. Judd pounced, his movements eerily swift. He straddled Andrew's waist, pinning him down with his knees. Andrew struggled, trying to push Judd off, but he was too strong. Judd's hands closed around Andrew's wrists, holding him in place. Andrew's mind was racing, trying to think of a way to escape. But Judd's grip was like a vice, and he couldn't move. Judd leaned in closer, his breath hot on Andrew's face. "You should have stayed hidden," Judd whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "You should have stayed out of my sight." Andrew's eyes were fixed on Judd's face, trying to read his intentions. But Judd's expression was inscrutable, giving away nothing. Andrew's mind was a jumble of fear and panic, and he couldn't think straight. Suddenly, Judd's face contorted into a twisted grin. "But I have you now," he said, his voice dripping with excitement. "And you're not going anywhere." Andrew's heart sank as Judd's hands began to tighten around his wrists. He felt a wave of pain wash over him, and he knew he had to act fast. With a burst of strength, Andrew arched his back, trying to throw Judd off. But Judd was too strong. He leaned in closer, his face inches from Andrew's. Andrew could feel Judd's hot breath on his skin, and he knew he was running out of time. Just as Judd's lips were about to touch his, the room was plunged into darkness. The sudden loss of light was disorienting, and Andrew felt Judd's grip loosen around his wrists. He took advantage of the distraction, pushing Judd off and scrambling out of bed. He stumbled through the darkness, trying to find the door. But as he reached out to grab the doorknob, he felt a hand close around his ankle. Judd had recovered quickly, and now he was pulling Andrew back into the darkness. Andrew's heart was racing, and he knew he had to fight for his life.
