**Caught in the Act**

Part 3

The air was still thick with tension as Ethan's words hung in the air, leaving me feeling like I was on the verge of being exposed. I tried to composed myself, but my mind was racing with thoughts of how to get out of this situation. Ethan's eyes seemed to bore into my soul, as if he could see the secrets I was hiding. Just as I thought things couldn't get any worse, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I felt a surge of panic as I realized it was a text from Alex, the guy I had been secretly seeing behind Ethan's back. My heart sank as I quickly silenced the phone, but I knew I couldn't ignore it for long. Ethan's eyes narrowed. "You should answer it," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I'm sure it's important." I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead as I hesitated. I knew I couldn't ignore the text, but I also couldn't risk Ethan finding out about Alex. But before I could make a move, Ethan stood up and gestured for me to follow him. "Let's take a walk," he said, his eyes glinting with a challenge. I felt a sense of trepidation as I followed him out of the student lounge, my heart pounding in my chest. Where were we going? And what did Ethan have planned? As we walked across campus, Ethan's pace was quick and purposeful. I had to jog to keep up with him, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. We turned a corner, and I saw a familiar building up ahead. It was the dorm where Alex lived. My heart skipped a beat as I realized where we were headed. And then I saw him - Alex, standing in the doorway of his room, a look of surprise on his face as he saw me. Ethan's eyes locked onto Alex, and I could see the anger building in his face. "Let's go inside," he said, his voice low and menacing. I felt a wave of panic wash over me as I realized I was about to be caught in the act. I tried to move away, but Ethan's arm was around me, holding me in place. As we stepped inside the room, I saw Alex's face pale. He took a step back, his eyes darting between Ethan and me. And then I saw it - the evidence of our secret affair, laid out in plain sight. Alex's bed was rumpled, and there were clothes scattered all over the floor. Ethan's grip on my arm tightened. "Is this what I think it is?" he growled. I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. I was trapped, caught in a lie that I couldn't escape. And as I looked into Ethan's eyes, I saw a mixture of anger and hurt that I knew I would never be able to erase.
