**The Pen's Hold**
Part 54
Days turned into weeks, and Kageyama's room remained a mess, papers and pen scraps scattered everywhere. Kageyama himself was still fixated on the pen, his eyes glued to it as he sat at his desk, talking to... no one. Or so he thought. "I'm telling you, you're the best pen in the world," Kageyama said, his voice low and serious. "You're the only one who truly understands me." He paused, listening to the pen's silent response. "I know, I know, it's not easy being a pen. People always using you, throwing you away when you're empty. But I promise, I'll take care of you. I'll never let you run out of ink again." Kageyama nodded, a smile spreading across his face. Just as he was about to continue his conversation, the door creaked open and Oikawa walked in. Kageyama's gaze shifted, and for a moment, he stared blankly at Oikawa. "O-Iikawa?" Kageyama stuttered, his eyes slowly focusing. Oikawa's expression was a mix of concern and confusion. "Kageyama, what's going on? You've been... talking to yourself for weeks now." Kageyama looked around, realizing that he had been talking out loud. His face flushed with embarrassment. "I... I was just... uh... practicing my presentation," Kageyama stammered. Oikawa raised an eyebrow. "Presentation? With a pen?" Kageyama's eyes darted back to the pen in his hand, and for a moment, Oikawa thought he saw a glimmer of the old Kageyama, the one who was always in control. But then, Kageyama's gaze dropped, and he mumbled, "I don't know, Oikawa. I just... I don't know what's happening to me." Oikawa's expression softened, and he walked over to Kageyama. "It's okay, Kageyama. I'm here for you. We'll figure this out together." Kageyama looked up, his eyes searching for reassurance. For a moment, Oikawa thought he saw a glimmer of recognition, a hint that Kageyama was still in there, trapped beneath the surface. But then, Kageyama's gaze drifted back to the pen, and he whispered, "I have to take care of you. You're all I have left." Oikawa's heart sank, and he realized that he had to find a way to reach Kageyama, to bring him back from the edge of his obsession. But how?
