**Chapter 1: A Chilling Concern**
Part 1
"I'm telling you, it's been blowing weird air all morning," said Fox McCloud, sitting at a table in the hotel cafeteria, sipping on a cup of coffee. He was joined by his friends, Marth and Peach, who were both enjoying a light breakfast. "I've noticed it too," Marth replied, his brow furrowed with concern. "It's like it's blowing cold air, but it's not cold enough to be comfortable. And it smells...off." Peach wrinkled her nose. "Ew, I know what you mean. I was just getting a sandwich and I could swear I smelled something like... Legionnaires' disease?" Fox's eyes widened. "That's exactly what I was thinking. And with all the guests we have here from outside the universe, I'm getting worried." Just then, Kirby walked in, his eyes wide with excitement. "Hey, guys! I just saw some of the hotel guests from the other universe. You know, the ones from... um... 'Earth'?" Marth's expression turned serious. "The ones who came from the universe where that nasty illness is going around? The one caused by the Cryptosporidium parasite?" Kirby nodded, his excitement deflating. "Yeah, that's the one. I saw that Donkey Kong and some of the other guests from that universe were here just yesterday, and they were coughing and sneezing all over the place." Peach's face went pale. "Oh no, do you think it's possible that someone here could have gotten sick?" Fox stood up, his determination clear. "We need to tell someone about this. Maybe Mr. Game and Watch or one of the hotel staff can check the air conditioning unit and make sure it's not spreading anything." As they spoke, other guests began to filter into the cafeteria, including Pikachu, Samus, and Yoshi. They all seemed to be discussing the same topic. "I heard that Donkey Kong had a particularly nasty case of Cryptosporidiosis," Pikachu said, its voice high-pitched with concern. "I hope no one here gets it." Samus, ever the pragmatist, spoke up. "We need to take this seriously. If the air conditioning unit is contaminated, we could have a major outbreak on our hands." Yoshi, who had been quietly observing the conversation, suddenly piped up. "Worry! Worry! What if we all get sick?" Marth placed a reassuring hand on Yoshi's shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll get to the bottom of this. We'll talk to the hotel staff and make sure they take care of the air conditioning unit." As the group continued to discuss their concerns, the door to the cafeteria burst open and in walked King K. Rool, his menacing grin faltering for a moment as he took in the somber atmosphere. "What's all the fuss about?" he growled. Fox stood up, his eyes locked on King K. Rool. "We're worried about the air conditioning unit. We think it might be spreading a nasty illness, and with all the guests here from outside the universe... " King K. Rool's expression darkened. "You think someone's going to get sick? Well, that's just great. Just what I needed. A bunch of weak and feeble fighters to deal with." The group exchanged worried glances, their concerns about the air conditioning unit and the potential illness now compounded by King K. Rool's ominous presence.
