**Chapter 8: "The Interview"**
Part 8
The days that followed the night out at the rooftop bar were a flurry of activity, with Will and I becoming increasingly in demand for interviews and promotional appearances. As we sat down with Emily, a well-known entertainment journalist from a popular magazine, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. The interview was taking place at a luxurious hotel in downtown LA, with its sleek, modern decor and breathtaking views of the city skyline. The soft hum of conversation and the clinking of coffee cups created a warm and inviting atmosphere, but I knew that the conversation was about to turn to the topic that everyone wanted to discuss: our rumored romance. Emily, a poised and charming woman with a warm smile, leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, Jess and Will, I have to ask: what's going on between you two? The paparazzi have been going wild with speculation, and your fans are dying to know the truth." Will and I exchanged a glance, both of us choosing to play it cool. "We're just friends, for now," Will said with a chuckle, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "We're focused on the movie, and we're just enjoying each other's company on set." I nodded in agreement, trying to downplay the chemistry between us. "Yeah, we're just taking things one day at a time. We're having a great time working together, and we're excited for the movie to come out." But Emily wasn't buying it. She raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Come on, guys. We've seen the photos from the rooftop bar. You two are clearly more than just friends. Don't you think it's time to confirm the rumors?" I felt a blush rise to my cheeks as Will and I exchanged another glance. We had been caught, and we both knew it. But we were still in a place where we were figuring out our feelings for each other, and we didn't want to rush into anything. "We're just taking things slow," Will said, his voice smooth and measured. "We're enjoying the process of getting to know each other, and we're not thinking too much about the future." Emily nodded, her expression thoughtful. "I understand. But can you at least tell me that there's something special between you two? Something that makes you stand out from the rest of the cast?" I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. But then Will spoke up, his voice low and husky. "I think we both know that there's something special about this movie. And I think we both know that there's something special about each other." His words sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt my heart skip a beat. I knew that we were dancing around the truth, but I also knew that we were getting closer to revealing our true feelings. As the interview came to a close, Emily smiled and thanked us for our time. "I think we've got a great story brewing here," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'll make sure to keep an eye on you two." As we left the hotel, Will turned to me and grinned. "I think we just gave her a little bit of fuel for the fire," he said, his eyes twinkling with amusement. I laughed, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. We were playing with fire, and we both knew it. But as I looked into Will's eyes, I knew that it was worth the risk. The paparazzi were waiting for us outside, cameras and microphones at the ready. Will took my hand, and we posed for a few photos, smiling and laughing together. It was a moment of pure magic, and I knew that our relationship was about to take center stage. As we made our way back to Will's car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about what the future held for us. We were in this together, and I knew that nothing could stop us now. The city lights blurred together outside, a colorful smear of neon and steel, as we drove off into the night, our hearts full of hope and possibility.
