Chapter 42: Morning After

Part 41

The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the dorm room. I stretched, yawning, and reached for my phone on the bedside table. As I scrolled through my messages, my heart skipped a beat when I saw a text from Shinso: "I had fun on our little date last night". A smile spread across my face as I read the message again, replaying the events of the previous night in my head. Just as I was about to put my phone down, Mina snuck up behind me and peered over my shoulder. Her eyes widened in shock as she read the message, and she let out a loud gasp. "YOU WENT ON A DATE?!" she exclaimed, her voice echoing through the room. I felt my face heat up as I realized that everyone had heard Mina's outburst. The boys in the room, including Katsuki and Denki, turned to look at me with interest, their eyebrows raised in surprise. I turned bright red, feeling like a tomato that had been left in the sun for too long. Mina's eyes sparkled with excitement as she continued to stare at me. "Vesper, spill the details!" she begged, her voice filled with curiosity. I tried to play it cool, but it was no use. I was already mortified. "It was just a movie and dinner," I mumbled, trying to downplay the situation. But Mina was not buying it. "A movie and dinner?!" she repeated, her voice dripping with skepticism. "That sounds like a date to me!" The room fell silent, with all eyes on me. I felt like I was going to die from embarrassment. Katsuki, ever the jokester, decided to chime in. "Looks like Vesper's got a boyfriend," he teased, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. I glared at Katsuki, my face burning with embarrassment. "Shut up, Katsuki," I hissed, trying to defend myself. But before I could say anything else, Denki piped up. "Wait, does this mean Shinso's off the market?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with interest. The room erupted into a chorus of teasing and jokes, with everyone chiming in to offer their two cents. I just sat there, my face burning with embarrassment, as I tried to navigate the chaos that had suddenly erupted in my life.
