"A Moment of Unplanned Intimacy"

Part 54

Deku's face turned an even deeper shade of red as he stuttered out the words, "O-only if you want to, of course!" The room remained silent, with all eyes fixed on us. I sat there, frozen in shock, my mind struggling to process what was happening. Mina, however, seemed to sense Deku's hesitation and decided to intervene. "Deku, just do it, don't be a wimp!" she exclaimed, her voice loud and clear. Deku took a deep breath, his eyes locked on mine, and began to walk towards me. My face grew even hotter as he approached, his gaze never wavering from mine. I could feel my heart racing, my palms growing sweaty, and my mind going blank. As Deku drew closer, I could see the determination in his eyes, mixed with a hint of nervousness. He looked at me, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Then, without another word, he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. The room erupted into a collective gasp, and I could feel my face burning with embarrassment. But as I wrapped my arms around Deku, I realized that I wasn't pulling away. Instead, I was kissing him back. As we broke apart for a moment to catch our breath, I caught sight of Bakugo's face, his eyes narrowed in anger, but he said nothing. Kirishima, Kaminari, and Todoroki looked like they had been struck by lightning, their faces a picture of shock and jealousy, but they too remained silent. Even Osby's voice in my mind sounded a bit jealous, "Wow, that was something," he said, his tone laced with a hint of longing. Mina, on the other hand, was beaming with a smile, her eyes shining with amusement. Deku, still looking a bit dazed, smiled back at her, and then walked back to his spot, his head held high. As the room slowly came back to life, the chatter and whispers started up again, but I tuned it all out. I was still trying to process what had just happened, and the emotions that were swirling inside me. I looked around the room, trying to make sense of it all, but my eyes kept drifting back to Deku, who was now sitting quietly in his seat, a soft smile still on his face.
