Sizzling Tension

Part 10

As the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the city, Ryujin and Yeji decided it was time to grab some Korean barbecue before heading back to JYP. They made their way to a popular barbecue restaurant, the smell of sizzling meat and spices filling the air as they walked in. They were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed them to a cozy two-person table by the window. Ryujin usually preferred to sit across from Yeji, but today she felt like sitting next to her. She shrugged off the feeling, telling herself it was just a whim, and slid into the booth beside Yeji. As they perused the menu, Ryujin couldn't help but steal glances at Yeji, who looked stunning in the soft light of the restaurant. Yeji's eyes sparkled as she ordered for them, her voice confident and carefree. "I'll have the bulgogi and you, my friend?" she asked Ryujin, her eyes crinkling at the corners. Ryujin smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "I'll have the same, and can we also get some kimchi and Japchae?" Yeji nodded, and they ordered a few other dishes to share. As they waited for their food to arrive, Ryujin couldn't help but stare at Yeji, lovingly admiring every detail of her face and figure. "Hey, you look really beautiful today," Ryujin said, her voice low and flirtatious. Yeji's cheeks flushed, and she looked away, trying to play it cool. "Thanks, RYU. You're not so bad yourself." Ryujin grinned, feeling a spark of electricity between them. "I was thinking, maybe we should make this fake date a regular thing," she said, her eyes locked on Yeji's. Yeji raised an eyebrow, her voice teasing. "Oh, and why's that?" Ryujin leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "Because I really enjoy your company, YEJ." Yeji's eyes flashed to Ryujin's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Ryujin could feel the tension between them building, and she knew she had to be careful. "Hey, I'm serious, YEJ. We're just friends, okay?" Ryujin said, trying to sound casual. Yeji looked at her, her eyes searching. "Okay, got it. Just friends." Ryujin smiled, trying to brush off the feeling that she was trying to convince herself as much as Yeji. As they received their food and began to eat, Ryujin couldn't help but steal glances at Yeji, who was laughing and chatting with her. As they ate, Ryujin reached out and playfully tousled Yeji's hair again, feeling a spark of electricity as their skin touched. "Stop it," Yeji said, grinning. Ryujin smiled, her eyes locked on Yeji's. "I'm just trying to make sure you're looking your best for the cameras." Yeji chuckled, and Ryujin whispered in her ear, "Did you like when I touched you there?" Yeji's body had a physical reaction, her skin flushing and her eyes darting to Ryujin's. "No," she said, her voice a little breathless. Ryujin grinned, feeling a thrill of excitement. She knew she was playing with fire, but she couldn't help herself. As they finished their meal and prepared to leave, Ryujin glanced at her watch. It was already 6:45 PM. "Ready to head back?" she asked Yeji, trying to sound casual. Yeji nodded, and they walked out of the restaurant, the cool evening air a welcome respite from the tension between them. As they walked to the company van, Ryujin felt a sense of reluctance wash over her. She didn't want the day to end, didn't want to leave Yeji's side. But as they climbed into the van, Yeji smiled at her, and Ryujin's heart skipped a beat. "Thanks for today, RYU," Yeji said, her voice soft. Ryujin smiled back, feeling a spark of connection between them. "Anytime, YEJ." As the van pulled away from the curb, Ryujin glanced at her watch. It was 7:00 PM. The day was over, but Ryujin had a feeling that this was just the beginning.
