Desperation and Hope

Part 38

As Shigaraki's eyes gleamed with malevolence, he whispered to Nomu, "Take care of Eraserhead for me." My heart sank, and I felt a wave of despair wash over me. I tried to struggle, but Shigaraki's grip on my neck only tightened. Nomu's gaze locked onto Aizawa-sensei, and with a swift motion, he strode towards him. Aizawa-sensei's eyes widened in alarm as Nomu approached, but he was powerless to stop him. With a brutal force, Nomu slammed Aizawa's head against the floor, and I felt my eyes well up with tears. I cried out, my voice shaking with fear, "NO, stop! Leave him alone, please!" I begged, my body trembling in Shigaraki's grasp. Shigaraki's smile grew wider, and for a moment, it seemed like he was savoring the terror that radiated from me. Just as all hope seemed lost, a familiar voice boomed through the air, "I am here!" It was All Might, and his arrival was met with a mix of relief and determination. With a powerful cry, All Might charged towards Nomu, his fist glowing with a brilliant light. In a single, swift motion, All Might punched Nomu with a devastating blow, sending him crashing to the ground. The force of the punch sent shockwaves through the air, and I stumbled backwards, gasping for breath. As Nomu struggled to get back to his feet, the heroes took advantage of the distraction to storm into the USJ. I saw Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist rushing towards us, their faces set with determination. Shigaraki's smile faltered for a moment, and he took a step back, his eyes darting towards the approaching heroes. For the first time, I saw a glimmer of uncertainty in his eyes. Deku's face lit up with hope as he watched All Might approach. "All Might...!" he whispered, his voice trembling with relief. Aizawa-sensei slowly picked himself up from the ground, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a mixture of caution and gratitude. "All Might...thank you," he said, his voice rough from the exertion. The heroes were closing in, and Shigaraki's grip on my neck loosened. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of hope that I hadn't felt in what felt like an eternity. Maybe, just maybe, we could make it out of this alive.
