**Chapter 5: Down the Rabbit Hole**
Part 5
As Gerald led Ashley through the crowded bar, she felt like a lost puppy following its owner, unsure of where they were going or what was happening. He navigated through the sea of people with ease, nodding and high-fiving those he passed. Ashley tried to keep up, but her eyes were darting around, taking in the chaotic scene. Gerald stopped in front of a group of people, all of whom were laughing and chatting. He smiled and kissed Ashley's neck, sending shivers down her spine. "Hey, guys, this is Ashley," he said, his arm wrapping around her waist. The group turned to her, their faces a blur as they smiled and said hello. Ashley tried to smile back, but her mind was reeling. Gerald was holding her close, his breath hot against her ear, and she felt like she was trapped. As he pulled her away from the group, Ashley felt a sense of relief wash over her. But it was short-lived. Gerald dragged her towards the bathroom, his grip on her arm tight. "Time to top off," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Ashley felt a surge of fear as he pushed her into the bathroom. The music and laughter from the bar were muffled by the closed door, and for a moment, they were alone. Gerald pulled out a small bag from his pocket and laid a line of powder on Ashley's chest. "For me," he said, his eyes locked on hers. Ashley felt a wave of panic wash over her. She didn't want to do this. She didn't want to be a part of this world. But before she could say anything, Gerald had pulled out another line, this one on the bathroom sock. "Come on, don't be a baby," he said, his voice low and persuasive. "Just a little snort. It'll help you relax." Ashley looked at the line of powder, her heart racing. She felt like she was standing on the edge of a cliff, staring into the abyss. And Gerald was pushing her to take the leap.
