A Night to Remember

Part 40

As we walked out of the movie theater, Shinso turned to me and suggested we grab some food. I agreed, and we headed to a nearby diner that served some of the best burgers in the city. The atmosphere was casual and cozy, with a warm glow that made me feel right at home. We slid into a booth, and the friendly waitress came over to take our order. As we waited for our food to arrive, we chatted about everything from our favorite movies to our childhood memories. It was easy to talk to Shinso, and I found myself laughing and smiling more and more as the conversation went on. He was a great listener, and he had a way of making me feel like I was the only person in the world. When our food arrived, we dug in with gusto. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and hot. We savored every bite, enjoying each other's company as much as the food. As we finished up and prepared to leave, Shinso suddenly looked at me with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Oh, I forgot to tell you, Vesper," he said, a sly smile spreading across his face. "You look nice." I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I looked down, my heart skipping a beat. But then I couldn't help myself - I shot back, "You look handsome as well, Shinso." Shinso's eyes widened in surprise, and then a slow smirk spread across his face. We both blushed, looking away from each other as we tried to play it cool. But it was too late - the moment had already passed, and we both knew it. As we walked back towards UA, the tension between us was palpable. But it was a good kind of tension, the kind that made me feel alive and excited. We walked in comfortable silence, enjoying the cool night air and each other's company. As we approached the dorms, I felt my eyelids growing heavy. It had been a long day, and the excitement of the night had taken its toll. Shinso seemed to sense my fatigue, and he nodded in understanding. "Get some rest, Vesper," he said, his voice low and gentle. "I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Thanks, Shinso," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. As I walked into the dorms, I felt my legs give out from under me. I collapsed onto my bed, exhausted. The last thing I remembered was thinking about Shinso, and the way he made me feel. And then I was out, fast asleep.
