**Chapter 14: A Secret Revealed**
Part 14
The sun had barely risen over the resort's tranquil surroundings, casting a warm glow over the lush greenery and serene water features. Emily lay in bed, her stomach churning with a growing sense of unease. She had been feeling off for a few days, and at first, she had attributed it to the stress of their relationship and the pressure of being in the spotlight. But as the days went by, her symptoms only worsened, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was seriously wrong. She threw off the covers and got out of bed, her legs feeling wobbly beneath her. Jon was still asleep, his chest rising and falling with a gentle rhythm. Emily felt a pang of guilt for not telling him yet, but she wasn't sure how to bring it up. She had taken a pregnancy test a few days ago, and the result had been positive. She was pregnant, and her life was about to change in ways she couldn't even imagine. As she made her way to the bathroom, Emily felt a wave of nausea wash over her. She leaned against the sink, her eyes scanning the room for a trash can or a toilet. She spotted the trash can in the corner and made a beeline for it, her stomach contents erupting in a messy explosion. She rinsed her mouth and washed her face, trying to compose herself. When she emerged from the bathroom, Jon was sitting up in bed, his eyes bleary with sleep. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice husky with concern. Emily took a deep breath and sat down beside him. "I need to talk to you about something," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Jon's expression turned serious, and he put his arm around her. "What is it?" he asked, his eyes scanning her face. Emily hesitated, unsure of how to break the news. "I've been feeling off for a few days," she said, her voice trembling. "And I took a pregnancy test. I'm...I'm pregnant." The room fell silent, the only sound the gentle hum of the air conditioner. Jon's face went white, and his eyes widened in shock. For a moment, Emily thought she saw a glimmer of excitement, but it was quickly replaced by a look of panic. "Pregnant?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. "As in, you're having a baby?" Emily nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat. "Yes, I'm having a baby." Jon's expression was unreadable, and Emily couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. Was he happy? Was he scared? Did he even care? As the silence stretched out between them, Emily felt a growing sense of unease. She knew that this was a turning point, a moment that would change the course of their relationship forever. She just didn't know how. Jon's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, Emily thought she saw a glimmer of something there, something that looked almost like...love. But it was quickly replaced by a look of determination. "We'll figure this out," he said, his voice firm. "We'll make it work." Emily nodded, feeling a surge of relief. But deep down, she knew that this was just the beginning of a whole new set of problems. She was pregnant, and she had no idea if she was ready for what was to come.
