Chapter 2: First Impressions

The sun was shining brightly as I stepped out of the dormitory building, gazing around at the sprawling campus of U.A. High School. I had won the best room contest, and I couldn't believe my luck. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a large window that let in plenty of natural light. I had spent the morning unpacking and settling in, and now I was eager to explore the school and meet my classmates. As I walked through the campus, I noticed a boy watching me from across the courtyard. He had striking features, with a strong jawline and piercing blue eyes. His hair was black and messy, and he looked like he had just rolled out of bed. I felt a flutter in my chest as our eyes met, but I quickly looked away, feeling shy. Osby, my shadow, whispered in my ear, "Ah, that's Todoroki Shouto. He's a popular student and a member of Class 1-A. He's got a bit of a reputation for being aloof, but he's definitely interested in you." I blushed, feeling a little self-conscious. I had heard of Todoroki, of course. Who hadn't? He was one of the most powerful students in the school, with a Quirk that allowed him to control ice and fire. As I continued to explore the campus, I ran into more students, including Midoriya Izuku, Bakugo Katsuki, Kirishima Eijiro, and Kaminari Denki. They all seemed friendly and welcoming, and I felt a little more at ease. But then, I caught sight of a group of students who didn't seem so friendly. Dabi, Shigaraki Tomura, Overhaul, and Toga Himiko were all staring at me, their eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity. Osby whispered in my ear, "Those are the villains. They're not students, exactly, but they're affiliated with the school. Be careful around them. They can be... unpredictable." I felt a shiver run down my spine as I watched them. They seemed to be sizing me up, and I couldn't help but wonder what they wanted. Todoroki approached me, a hesitant smile on his face. "Hi," he said, his voice deep and smooth. "I'm Todoroki Shouto. I saw you winning the best room contest, and I wanted to introduce myself." I smiled back at him, feeling a little more at ease. "Hi," I said. "I'm... I'm still getting used to my name being called out loud, I guess." Todoroki chuckled. "I can imagine. It's a lot to take in. But I'm glad to meet you. Maybe we can talk more later?" I nodded, feeling a spark of interest. Maybe this was the start of something new and exciting. As Todoroki walked away, Osby whispered in my ear, "He's definitely interested in you. But be careful, okay? You don't know what you're getting yourself into yet." I nodded, feeling a little wiser. I knew that I had a lot to learn, but I was ready to take on the challenge. Kaminari Denki approached me, a goofy grin on his face. "Hey, I'm Kaminari Denki! I'm in Class 1-A, just like Todoroki." I smiled at him, feeling a little more at ease. "Hi, Kaminari-kun." He winked at me. "Hey, call me Denki, okay? We're going to be friends, I can tell." I laughed, feeling a little more comfortable. Maybe this was going to be okay after all. But then, I caught sight of Toga Himiko watching me, her eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity. I felt a shiver run down my spine, and I knew that I had to be careful. Osby whispered in my ear, "Don't worry, I've got your back. We'll get through this together." I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards my shadow. Together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead.
