A Day Without Them

Part 7

The warm sunshine cast a gentle glow over the castle grounds as Liliana and Oliver strolled to their first class, Potions. They walked side by side, their shoulders brushing together, and Liliana couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over her. She had been spending the whole day with Oliver, and it had been bliss. But as they walked, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Where were Seth and Elias? As they entered the Potions classroom, Professor Snape looked up from his desk, his eyes narrowing as he took in their entwined hands. Liliana quickly released Oliver's hand, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks. But Oliver didn't seem to notice, his eyes shining with happiness as he took his seat beside her. Throughout the day, Liliana and Oliver were inseparable. They walked to Defense Against the Dark Arts, their hands touching occasionally as they navigated the crowded corridors. Liliana couldn't help but steal glances at Oliver, her heart skipping a beat whenever he smiled at her. In Herbology, they sat together, Oliver helping Liliana with the more complex potion ingredients. As they worked, Liliana felt Oliver's hand brush against hers, sending shivers down her spine. She turned to him, her eyes meeting his, and he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. As the day wore on, Liliana began to notice that Seth and Elias were noticeably absent. She mentioned it to Oliver, but he just shrugged, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I think they're busy," he said, his voice low and teasing. But Liliana couldn't shake the feeling that something was going on. She felt a pang of worry, wondering if Seth and Elias were okay. As they walked to their next class, Oliver took her hand, his fingers intertwining with hers in a gentle caress. Liliana felt a rush of happiness, but it was tempered by her concern for her friends. As they parted ways for their free period, Oliver leaned in, his lips brushing against her cheek. Liliana felt a flutter in her chest, her cheeks flushing with heat. "See you at dinner," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear. Liliana watched him go, feeling a little flustered. She couldn't help but wonder what was going on with Seth and Elias. Why hadn't she seen them all day? As she walked back to the library, Liliana's thoughts turned to the confrontation between Seth and Elias. She had a feeling that it was more than just a simple disagreement. There was a tension between them, a sense of unease that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She sighed, feeling a little lost. She loved them both, but in different ways. And Oliver... Oliver made her feel seen and heard in a way that she never had before. But as she settled into the library, Liliana couldn't shake the feeling that she was being pulled in different directions. And she wondered, not for the first time, what the future held for her and the boys she loved.
