"Unraveling the Enigma"
Part 13
Shizuo's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on Osamu Dazai as he tried to process the sudden turn of events. "Why are you so interested in me?" he asked, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and wariness. Osamu Dazai's smirk grew wider, and he leaned back in his chair, his eyes never leaving Shizuo's face. "Who are you, Dazai, and why do you want to marry me?" Shizuo pressed, his eyes dropping to the expensive diamond ring on his finger. The ring seemed to sparkle in the dim light, a constant reminder of the sudden and unexpected marriage that had taken place. Osamu Dazai's eyes followed Shizuo's gaze, and a low chuckle rumbled in his chest. "Curious, aren't you?" he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "Well, like I told you, my name is Osamu Dazai, I'm 22 years old, and my new job is a detective for the Armed Detective Agency. But in the past, I was an executive of the Port Mafia, and now I'm your husband, Shizuo." Shizuo's eyes snapped back to Osamu Dazai's face, his expression a mixture of shock and confusion. "The Port Mafia?" he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. "You're telling me that you're a former mafia executive, and now you're a detective?" Osamu Dazai nodded, his smirk still firmly in place. "That's right, Shizuo. I've had a... varied career, to say the least. But I've always been drawn to the world of crime and investigation. And now, I'm married to you." Shizuo's gaze dropped to the ring again, his mind reeling with questions. "Why me?" he asked, his voice laced with frustration. "What do you see in me that makes you want to marry me?" Osamu Dazai's expression turned serious, and he leaned forward, his eyes locked onto Shizuo's. "You, Shizuo, are a very interesting individual. You have a certain... spark within you, a spark that I find incredibly attractive. And I must admit, I'm intrigued by your past, your connections to the world of crime." Shizuo's eyes narrowed, his wariness growing. "What do you know about my past?" he asked, his voice low and even. Osamu Dazai's smile returned, and he leaned back in his chair. "Oh, Shizuo, I know a great deal about your past. I know about your connections to the world of organized crime, about your... let's say, ' complicated' history. And I must say, I'm fascinated." Shizuo's face grew hot with anger and embarrassment, but Osamu Dazai's words were laced with a genuine curiosity, a desire to understand and learn more about him. "You're married to me now," Shizuo said, his voice firm. "What do you plan to do with me?" Osamu Dazai's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Ah, Shizuo, I plan to get to know you much better. And I plan to help you, in any way that I can. You see, I believe that we can help each other, you and I. We can help each other unravel the complexities of our pasts, and build a new future together." Shizuo's expression was skeptical, but a part of him was drawn to Osamu Dazai's words. He wanted to believe that this strange and enigmatic man could help him, that together they could build a new life, free from the shadows of their pasts. But he wasn't sure if he could trust Osamu Dazai, not yet.
