"Unsettling Behavior"

Part 3

As Andrew headed towards the shower, Leah and Nick exchanged a glance, their minds made up. They needed to talk to Judd about his strange behavior. Leah motioned to Nick, and they quietly followed Judd into the living room, where he was sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the TV. Leah cleared her throat to get Judd's attention, and he turned to face them, his expression neutral. Nick sat down beside Leah on the armchair, and they both fixed Judd with a curious gaze. "Hey, Judd, can we talk to you for a minute?" Leah asked, her voice gentle but firm. Judd raised an eyebrow, but nodded, his eyes flicking between Leah and Nick. "What's up?" he asked, his tone casual, but his eyes betraying a hint of wariness. Leah and Nick exchanged a glance, and then Leah spoke up. "We were just wondering, what's going on with you? You were acting really weird today, especially during dinner and at the pool." Judd's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to cloud over, and he looked away, his voice dropping to a low tone. "I don't know what you're talking about." Nick leaned forward, his eyes locked on Judd's. "Come on, Judd, we're your siblings. We know you. And today was just... different. You were staring at Andrew the whole time, and it's kinda freaking us out." Judd's gaze snapped back to Leah and Nick, and for a moment, they thought they saw a flicker of something in his eyes - something that looked almost like... longing. But then, his expression smoothed out, and he shrugged. "I was just... interested in what Andrew was doing, okay? I don't see what the big deal is." Leah and Nick exchanged a skeptical glance. They didn't believe Judd's explanation, and they knew he was hiding something. "Judd, we're not buying it," Leah said, her voice firm but gentle. "You're not exactly known for participating in family activities, and today was a surprise. So, what's really going on?" Judd's eyes dropped, and he looked away, his shoulders tensing. Leah and Nick waited, sensing that they were on the verge of uncovering something important. As they sat there in silence, the sound of the shower turning off in the background signaled that Andrew was done showering. Leah and Nick exchanged a glance, knowing that they would have to continue this conversation later, when Andrew wasn't around. For now, they just sat there, watching Judd, waiting for him to open up and tell them the truth.
