Chapter 9: Morning After

Part 9

The morning sunlight streaming through the window gently roused Lyra and Mia from their slumber. They slowly opened their eyes, rubbing the sleep from their eyelids as they took in their surroundings. Lyra's massive belly, still containing Isten, was a noticeable presence between them. They exchanged a glance, and Lyra's face broke into a soft smile. "Morning," Lyra whispered, her voice husky from sleep. Mia smiled back, her blonde hair mussed from the night's activities. "Morning," she replied, her voice equally soft. As they lay there, they couldn't help but think about Isten, still trapped inside Lyra's womb. They wondered how he was doing, if he was okay, and if he was feeling any of the sensations that they were experiencing. Lyra's hands gently stroked her belly, trying to soothe Isten and make him feel more comfortable. Mia sat up, her eyes fixed on Lyra's belly. "I think we need to get up and get moving," she said, her voice a little louder now. "We've got a lot to process and figure out." Lyra nodded, slowly sitting up as well. Her belly jiggled with the movement, and Mia's eyes were drawn to it once more. "Yeah, I guess we do," Lyra replied, her voice thoughtful. As they sat there, they heard a faint stirring from inside Lyra's womb. Isten, still trapped, was making his presence known. Lyra and Mia exchanged a glance, and Lyra's hands instinctively went to her belly once more. "Hey, it's okay," Lyra whispered, her voice gentle. "We're here, and we're taking care of you." Mia nodded, her eyes filled with a mixture of concern and amusement. "Yeah, we're not leaving you behind," she said, her voice teasing. Lyra chuckled, her red hair bouncing with the movement. "I think we might be, actually," she said, her voice wry. Mia's expression turned serious, and she reached out to take Lyra's hand. "We need to talk about that," she said, her voice firm. "We can't just leave him in there forever." Lyra nodded, her eyes meeting Mia's. "I know," she said, her voice soft. "But for now, let's just enjoy the morning, okay?" Mia nodded, and the two friends sat there in comfortable silence, Lyra's belly a constant presence between them. As they sat there, they began to make plans for their day, discussing what they needed to do and how they would face the consequences of their actions. As they got out of bed, Lyra's belly jiggled and Isten shifted inside, making his presence known once more. Lyra and Mia exchanged a glance, and Lyra smiled wryly. "I think we're going to have to get used to that," she said, her voice dry. Mia nodded, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Yeah, I think you're right." As they began to get ready for the day, Lyra and Mia couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them and for Isten, still trapped inside Lyra's womb. But for now, they just enjoyed the morning, savoring the quiet moments before the chaos of the day began.
