**Execution of Plan**
Part 9
The clock struck 9:30 PM, and Emily stepped out of the shadows, her eyes fixed on the apartment building. She took a deep breath, mentally rehearsing the plan one last time. She slipped into the building through the unlocked front door and made her way to the elevator. The ride to the 14th floor was uneventful, and Emily stepped out into the dimly lit hallway. She navigated to the young man's apartment, her heart pounding in her chest. She inserted a lockpick into the door and worked it with ease, a skill she had acquired through years of experience. The door swung open, and Emily stepped inside, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. The apartment was sleek and modern, just like she had expected. The air was cool and clean, and the only sound was the hum of the air conditioning. Emily moved swiftly, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of the young man. She spotted a door that led to the bedroom and another that she assumed led to the bathroom. As she moved deeper into the apartment, Emily noticed that it was eerily tidy. There were no signs of disarray or mess, just a sense of sterile perfection. She felt a shiver run down her spine, and for a moment, she wondered if she had made a mistake. Suddenly, Emily heard a noise coming from the bedroom. It sounded like the rustle of fabric, followed by the soft creak of a drawer opening. Her heart skipped a beat as she froze, her ears straining to listen. The noise stopped, and Emily waited, her senses on high alert. And then, she heard his voice. "Hello?" he said, his tone low and cautious. Emily's eyes widened as she realized that the young man was not at the gym. He was in his apartment, and he had just discovered her. She spun around, trying to make a hasty retreat, but it was too late. The young man emerged from the bedroom, his eyes locking onto hers with a mixture of surprise and alarm. "Who are you?" he demanded, his voice firm. Emily's mind racing, she tried to come up with a response, but before she could, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from the hallway. The door to the apartment burst open, and a woman with a stern expression stepped inside. "Ah, I see you've got a visitor," she said, her eyes narrowing at Emily. The young man's expression changed from surprise to confusion, and Emily realized that she had walked into something much more complicated than she had anticipated.
