"Thicker Than Blood"

Part 2

As the night wore on, the crew decided to take a spontaneous road trip to the beach, and Lyssa was more than down to get wild. She and Spooky snuck away from the group, and he pulled out a fat bag of weed from his glove compartment. They rolled down the windows, cranked up some reggaeton, and got to work, blowing clouds of smoke into the night air. The music was loud, and the wind was whipping through Lyssa's hair as they sped down the highway. She was feeling carefree and alive, and Spooky's hand on her thigh was making her skin tingle. They laughed and joked, passing the blunt back and forth, and Lyssa was getting more and more turned up by the minute. When they finally arrived at the beach, they parked Spooky's Impala and took a walk along the shore. The moon was full, and the waves were crashing against the sand, creating a hypnotic rhythm that seemed to match the beat of Lyssa's heart. She and Spooky were getting along famously, and Lyssa could feel the tension between them building. They found a secluded spot, and Spooky pulled Lyssa close, his lips brushing against her ear. "I love you, Lyssa," he whispered, his voice sending shivers down her spine. Lyssa's response was muffled by the sound of the waves, but Spooky's eyes locked onto hers, and he knew exactly what she was thinking. They spent the rest of the night making out in the darkness, the only sound the waves and their own ragged breathing. Eventually, they made their way back to Spooky's car, where they got cozy and, well, things got real. Lyssa was feeling like she was on cloud nine, and Spooky's hands were making her feel like she was melting into the seat. Meanwhile, back at Cesar's house, things were going south. Cesar and Monse got into a huge argument, and it ended with Monse storming out of the house, leaving Cesar looking like he'd been punched in the gut. The next day, Monse showed up at Lyssa's doorstep, looking like she'd been up all night. "Girl, I need your advice," she said, flopping down on the couch. "Cesar and I got into a huge fight, and I don't know what to do." Lyssa listened intently as Monse spilled all the tea, and she couldn't help but think that Cesar was in the wrong. She knew her boy, and he had a tendency to get possessive and controlling when things got serious. "Girl, you deserve so much better than that," Lyssa said, shaking her head. "You need to take care of yourself and figure out what you want." Monse looked at Lyssa with tears in her eyes. "What would you do if you were me?" Lyssa thought for a moment before responding. "I'd take some time for myself, focus on my own happiness. And if Cesar can't respect that, then maybe he's not the one for you." Monse nodded, looking determined. "You're right, Lyssa. I need to take care of myself."
