# Chapter 6: Emily's Concerns

Part 6

As the door closed behind Coop, Emily couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had been growing inside her since their conversation. She had agreed to dinner, but now she was wondering if that was a mistake. Coop's words kept echoing in her mind, "I don't want you to see anyone else." What did he mean by that? Was he serious? Emily tried to distract herself by doing some work, but her mind kept wandering back to Coop and their conversation. She couldn't believe how possessive he was being, and it was making her feel trapped. She thought about her conversation with Coop and how he had been acting strange. He had been texting her nonstop, and now he was asking her to be exclusive. It was like he was trying to control her. She got up from her desk and walked over to the window, staring out at the campus below. She thought about how much she had enjoyed her time at college so far, but now she was starting to feel like she was losing her freedom. Coop's behavior was becoming increasingly controlling, and she didn't know how to handle it. As she stood there, Emily's phone buzzed with a text from Coop. "Hey, beautiful. Just wanted to confirm our dinner plans for tonight. Can't wait to see you." Emily felt a shiver run down her spine. Why was Coop being so pushy? And what did he mean by "beautiful"? It was like he was trying to charm her into doing what he wanted. She deleted the text and tried to focus on her work, but she couldn't concentrate. Her mind kept wandering back to Coop and their dinner plans. She was starting to feel like she was in too deep, like she had made a mistake by agreeing to see him again. As the hours passed, Emily's anxiety grew. She didn't know what to expect from dinner with Coop, but she knew she had to be careful. She didn't want to get hurt, but at the same time, she couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him. As she got ready for dinner, Emily couldn't help but wonder what the future held. Was she making a mistake by seeing Coop again? And what did he really want from her? She thought about her parents and how they would react if they knew she was dating her professor. They would be furious. When Coop arrived at her door, Emily's nerves were on edge. She tried to smile and act casual, but she could feel her heart racing. As they walked out of the dorm, Coop put his arm around her, and Emily felt a surge of panic. This was getting too real, too fast. As they walked to the restaurant, Emily couldn't help but feel like she was in trouble. Coop's behavior was becoming increasingly possessive, and she didn't know how to get out of the situation. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape. The restaurant was a few blocks away, and as they walked, Emily tried to think of a way to extricate herself from this situation. But every time she thought of something, Coop would say something charming, and she would feel like she was overreacting. As they sat down at their table, Emily knew she had to be careful. She didn't want to get hurt, but at the same time, she couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards Coop. She was in a precarious situation, and she didn't know how to get out. Coop smiled at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad we did this, Emily," he said. "I'm really enjoying getting to know you." Emily smiled back, trying to act casual. But inside, she was panicking. She was in trouble, and she didn't know how to get out. As they ordered their food, Emily couldn't help but wonder what the night had in store for her. Would she be able to escape Coop's clutches, or would she get hurt in the process? Only time would tell.
