"Trapped in Fear"
Part 14
As the car pulled away from the scene of Alex's brutal beating, Charlie felt a sense of dread wash over her. She was trapped, alone and defenseless with a man who had just demonstrated his willingness to use violence to get what he wanted. Travis's eyes were fixed on the road, his jaw clenched in anger, and Charlie was too scared to speak. The silence between them was oppressive, heavy with unspoken threats and accusations. Charlie's mind was racing with fear, her thoughts consumed by the image of Alex lying battered and bruised on the ground. She couldn't bear the thought of what might happen to him if he tried to come after her again. Travis's voice broke the silence, his tone low and menacing. "Where did you think you were going with him? Are you fucking him?!" he spat, his eyes flashing with anger. Charlie was terrified to answer, all she could do was shake her head no, tears filling her eyes. She felt a sob building in her throat, but she was too scared to let it out. Travis's expression twisted in a snarl, his eyes glinting with cruelty. "Don't lie to me, Charlie," he growled. "I know you're a whore. You're just like all the others." Charlie felt a wave of shame wash over her, but she knew she had to try and placate him. "I Love you," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Travis's expression didn't change, but Charlie saw a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He didn't seem to know how to react to her declaration, and for a moment, Charlie thought she saw a glimmer of hope. But it was quickly extinguished. "Please don't hurt me," she begged, her voice cracking with fear. Travis's face hardened, his jaw clenched in anger. "You think I love you?" he repeated, his voice dripping with contempt. "You think I'm capable of love?" Charlie shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "No, please just don't hurt me," she begged, her body trembling with fear. Travis's expression didn't change, but Charlie saw a glimmer of something in his eyes, something that looked almost like excitement. He seemed to be enjoying her fear, feeding off it. The car pulled up to a large house on the outskirts of town, and Charlie felt a sense of dread wash over her. She knew she was in for a long and terrifying night, trapped with a man who seemed to take pleasure in her pain. Travis turned off the engine and got out of the car, his eyes never leaving Charlie's face. "Get out," he said, his voice low and menacing. Charlie slowly got out of the car, her eyes fixed on Travis's face, her heart heavy with foreboding. She knew she was in grave danger, and she had no idea how she was going to escape.
