**Chapter 1: A Glimpse of Unease**

Part 1

The dimly lit room was filled with the sound of clinking utensils and muffled conversations as the players devoured their bento boxes. The long and grueling game had taken its toll on everyone, leaving them exhausted but relieved to have made it through alive. Granny, player 195, sat on her bed, her eyes scanning the room with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. Her gaze landed on Daeho, player 388, who was sitting across from her, his eyes fixed intently on a young man with black hair and brown eyes. Granny's instincts told her that something was off about Daeho. He seemed overly nice, almost too perfect, and his aura radiated an unsettling energy. She leaned over to her son, Son, player 007, and whispered, "I don't trust him. He's too nice, too perfect." Son rolled his eyes and whispered back, "Mother, knock it off. He's just being friendly." Granny's eyes never left Daeho as she continued to observe him. His gaze was fixed on the young man with the number 333 on his jacket, and it was as if he was staking a claim. Granny's unease grew, and she decided to intervene. She walked over to Daeho, a forced smile on her face. "If he's your friend, you should invite him over," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "The more people on our team, the better." Jungbae, player 390, chimed in, "You have a friend in here, we don't mind extra company." Daeho's eyes flickered for a moment, and he nodded, his smile growing wider. He got up and walked over to Myung-gi, player 333, who was sitting alone, looking a bit lost. Junhee, player 222, gasped as she recognized Myung-gi as her ex-boyfriend. "Isn't that...?" she started to say, but Young-il, player 001, cut her off. "Let's not make a big deal out of it," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly. "He can join us, but if he doesn't pull his weight, I'll kick him out myself." Junhee hesitated, but eventually nodded, her eyes fixed on Myung-gi. Daeho walked up to Myung-gi, his eyes locked on him, and Granny noticed that he stood a bit too close for Myung-gi's comfort. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice you're sitting alone," Daeho said, his voice smooth as silk. "Why don't you join us? We could use someone with your... skills." Myung-gi looked hesitant at first, but eventually nodded, his eyes darting around the room. As he followed Daeho back to their group, Granny couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She watched as Daeho's eyes lingered on Myung-gi, his gaze possessive and intense. The game may be over for now, but Granny had a feeling that the real battle was just beginning.
