"The Masks of Deceit"

Part 14

"Oh my, Fronty, did you bring us a new toy to play with?" a man in a lion mask who was clearly drunk playfully stated, his voice slurring over the words. A female with a fox mask and a snarky tone chimed in, "She's got a nice body and all, but how about you preview the games for us?" The room fell silent, with all eyes on Inho and Myung-gi. Inho bowed to the VIPs, his voice calm and collected, "I'm sorry for my late arrival." He stood up, his eyes locked on Myung-gi, and gently led him to the only empty couch in the room. Myung-gi sat down, feeling a mix of anxiety and fear. Inho leaned down, his voice firm, "Stay put." Myung-gi nodded, his eyes fixed on Inho. Inho walked over to a large curtain on the wall and pulled it open, revealing two massive dolls holding a rope. "What the hell is that?" a male VIP with a golden deer mask asked, his voice filled with curiosity. Inho calmly replied, "This game will be jump rope." As Inho walked over to the couch Myung-gi was sitting on, Myung-gi got a good view of the now curtain-less wall. It was glass, looking down on a massive room that had two platforms with a bridge in between. Across each tower was a 30-foot animatronic doll that was holding part of a rope over a thin but long bridge, which was over a 50-foot drop. Myung-gi softly gasped, and Inho could feel Myung-gi tense at the scene. Inho sat down next to Myung-gi, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. Myung-gi tried to move away, but Inho's grip was firm. The VIPs began to murmur among themselves, their voices filled with excitement and anticipation. Myung-gi's eyes were fixed on the bridge, his mind racing with thoughts of how to survive this game. The female with the fox mask spoke up again, her voice dripping with sarcasm, "Oh, this should be good. I bet our new toy will make a great addition to the game." The room fell silent, with all eyes on Myung-gi. He felt a chill run down his spine as he realized that he was about to be used as a form of entertainment for these wealthy and twisted individuals. Inho's voice was low and distorted as he spoke, "Let's begin." The room erupted into a mixture of cheers and applause, and Myung-gi felt his heart sink. He was trapped, and he had no idea what lay ahead. The only thing he knew was that he had to survive, for himself and for JunHee, who was carrying his child.
