Blooms of New Friendships

Part 3

As Deku and Ochaco quickly excused themselves, leaving Bakugo and me standing alone, I couldn't help but feel that I had gotten off on the wrong foot with my new classmate. Deku, sensing my unease, decided to quickly move on and introduce me to some of the other students in our class. "Hey, let's go meet some of the other guys," he said with a friendly smile. "I want you to meet Kaminari and Kirishima." I followed Deku to a nearby corner of the hallway, where two students were engaged in a lively conversation. Deku cleared his throat to get their attention, and they turned to face us. "Hey, guys, I want you to meet Vesper, our new classmate." One of the students, a boy with a messy shock of blond hair and a goofy grin, looked up at me with a startled expression. "H-hi, nice to meet you, my name is Vesper," I said, trying to sound confident. The blond-haired boy's eyes widened, and he took a step closer to me, his face turning a deep shade of pink. "W-wow, you're cute!" he exclaimed, his voice trembling. I felt my face heat up as I got a little flustered, unsure of how to react to his sudden outburst. Before I could recover, a boy with a distinctive red hairstyle and a confident smile stepped forward, chuckling. "Sorry about him, nice to meet you, I'm Eijiro Kirishima," he said, offering me a firm handshake. I shook his hand, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. As I looked at both Kaminari and Kirishima, I couldn't help but think that they seemed like really nice guys. Kaminari was still looking at me with a lovesick expression, but Kirishima's warm smile put me at ease. "I'm Denki Kaminari," the blond-haired boy said, still staring at me with a dreamy expression. Deku chuckled and nudged him playfully. "Don't mind him, he's just a little... enthusiastic." Kirishima grinned. "Yeah, but he's a great guy once you get to know him. We're all about making new friends and having fun in this class." I smiled, feeling a sense of belonging that I hadn't experienced in a while. As we chatted, I realized that I was starting to feel more at home in this new school. Maybe, just maybe, this was going to be a great year after all.
