"Mama's Boy"
Part 1
The warm sunlight streaming through the large windows of the Malfoy estate highlighted the happy scene unfolding in the cozy living room. Draco Malfoy, once a Slytherin student known for his cunning and ambition, now sat on the plush couch, a picture of domestic bliss. His wife, Millie, sat beside him, cradling their toddler, Aurelian, in her arms. The little boy's bright blue eyes sparkled with mischief as he gazed up at his parents. "Come here, Aurelian," Draco said, holding out his arms, a charming smile on his face. But to his surprise, the toddler shook his head vigorously, saying a firm "no." Y/N, their other child, a little girl with a mop of curly brown hair, giggled at her brother's antics. "I'm the favorite," she chimed in, her voice filled with glee. Aurelian, not to be outdone, protested, "No way, he's a daddy's boy!" The little boy's face scrunched up in a pout, and he clung to his mother, as if daring Draco to try and pry him loose. Draco's eyes crinkled at the corners as he laughed. "Come here, Aurelian," he coaxed, holding out his arms again. This time, his voice was laced with a hint of playfulness. But Aurelian was having none of it. The toddler dramatically burst into tears, his small body shaking with sobs. Millie immediately responded, scooping up the child and cuddling him close. "Awww, come here, my baby," she soothed, showering him with gentle kisses. Aurelian's tears subsided, replaced by a look of triumph as he clutched onto his mother for dear life. His small face still scrunched up in a pout, he gazed up at Draco, as if to say, "You're not getting me that easily, Daddy." Draco rolled his eyes good-naturedly, a wry smile twisting his lips. He couldn't admit it, not even to himself, but he felt a tiny pang of jealousy. It seemed his little boy was turning into a mama's boy, and the thought made him feel...left out. As he watched the scene unfold, Draco's mind wandered back to his own childhood, growing up in the Malfoy household, where his father's expectations had been overwhelming. He had always tried to live up to Lucius's standards, to prove himself worthy of the Malfoy name. But now, as a father himself, Draco realized that things were different. He wanted to be close to his children, to be the one they turned to for comfort and support. He wanted to be the favorite, not just a spectator in their lives. As he gazed at Aurelian, now snuggled up in Millie's arms, Draco felt a surge of determination. He would find a way to win his little boy's heart, to be the one he turned to, not just his mother. The question was, how? And what would it take for Draco to become the father he never had, for his children to love and trust him implicitly? Only time would tell.
