**A Bouquet of Deception**
Part 1
Shizu-chan, I don’t want to fight anymore,” Izaya said, dodging another vending machine Shizuo threw at him. Shizuo aggressively threw more and pulled a stop sign from the ground, trying to swing and hit Izaya with it. “You damn bastard flea, stop moving so I can hit you!!” Shizuo growled angrily, getting more aggressive and annoyed that he couldn’t hit Izaya. Izaya dodged and weaved, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he ran away from Shizuo’s attacks. “Shizu-chan, you’re so strong, but your aim is terrible,” Izaya taunted, his voice echoing through the streets of Ikebukuro. Shizuo’s face turned red with rage as he chased after Izaya, but eventually, he gave up and stomped angrily back to his horrible, poor apartment. As he trudged up the stairs, he noticed a bouquet of flowers and a note on his doorstep. He picked up the note, and his eyes widened in shock as he read the words. “Shizu-chan, I really don’t want to fight anymore. I started to realize how beautiful you are. You’re too pretty for that, and I finally realized I am attracted to you. Would you like to go on a date tonight?” Shizuo’s face scrunched up in confusion as he stared at the note. What was Izaya playing at? He was always trying to get under Shizuo’s skin, but this was a new tactic. Shizuo’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the bouquet of flowers. They were his favorite, sunflowers. He picked up the phone and dialed Izaya’s number, his deep voice gruff as he said, “Izaya, what’s going on? You think a bouquet of flowers and a note will make me forget about all the times you’ve tried to kill me?” Izaya’s voice was smooth as silk on the other end of the line. “Oh, Shizu-chan, I’m not trying to forget about the past. I just want to start anew. And I really mean it, I find you incredibly attractive. That strong, fierce exterior of yours is just so... captivating.” Shizuo snorted. “You think I’m attractive? You’re just trying to get under my skin again.” But a small part of him was curious. Why would Izaya, the notorious information broker and manipulator, suddenly develop feelings for him? Izaya chuckled. “Maybe a little, Shizu-chan. But I assure you, my feelings are genuine. And I want to prove it to you. Meet me at the park at 7 pm tonight. I promise I won’t try to kill you.” Shizuo hesitated, unsure of what to do. But his curiosity got the better of him. “Fine. I’ll be there.” Izaya’s voice was triumphant. “I’ll be waiting for you, Shizu-chan. And don’t forget to wear something nice. I want to take you to a nice restaurant.” Shizuo hung up the phone, still feeling confused and a little wary. What was Izaya’s game this time? And why did he suddenly find himself looking forward to their date tonight?
