**Chapter 6: The Isolation of Fear**

Part 6

As they stepped into the house, Jason's eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, and he saw that they were in a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase that curved up to the left. The air was thick with dust, and cobwebs clung to the chandelier that hung from the ceiling. Sangwoo's grip on his wrist was like a vice, and Jason stumbled as he tried to take in the surroundings. The house was opulent, but it was clear that it had been abandoned for years. The walls were adorned with faded portraits, and the furniture was old and worn. But it was the smell that really caught Jason's attention - a pungent mix of decay and rot that seemed to seep from the very walls themselves. Sangwoo led him through a series of dark corridors, the only sound being the creaking of the old wooden floorboards beneath their feet. Jason's heart was racing, and he tried to struggle against Sangwoo's grip, but it was no use. He was trapped. As they walked, Jason caught glimpses of rooms that seemed frozen in time. A dining room with a table set for dinner, the plates covered in dust. A library with books that seemed to lean in, as if they were trying to listen to his conversation. And a kitchen that seemed to have been abandoned mid-meal, with a half-eaten sandwich on the counter. Sangwoo finally stopped in front of a door at the end of a long corridor. He produced a key and unlocked it, pushing Jason inside. Jason stumbled, his eyes adjusting to the sudden darkness. The room was small, with walls that seemed to close in on him. There was a single window, but it was barred, and the curtains were drawn. Sangwoo's voice was muffled as he spoke from outside the room. "You'll be staying here, Jason. It's not the Ritz, but it's home for now." Jason spun around, trying to see Sangwoo, but he was already gone. The door slammed shut behind him, and Jason heard the sound of locks clicking into place. He was trapped. He stumbled around the room, searching for any possible way out. But the door was solid, and the window was impossible to open. He was alone, with no way to escape. As he stood there, the darkness seemed to close in around him. He felt a wave of panic wash over him, and he let out a scream. But his voice was muffled by the thick walls, and he was left with only the echoes of his own terror. The room was silent once more, except for the sound of Jason's ragged breathing. He was alone, and he was scared. And as he stood there, he realized that he had no idea what Sangwoo had planned for him. All he knew was that he was trapped, and that he might never escape.
