Chapter 59: A Little Princess
Part 58
The day of their second scan had finally arrived, and Jacquie and Noah were bursting with excitement as they made their way to the doctor's office. They had been waiting for what felt like an eternity to find out the gender of their new baby, and they couldn't wait to share the news with Ellie Mae and Mya. As they settled into the examination room, Jacquie couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous energy. She had been guessing that the baby was a girl, but she had no idea if she was right. Noah, on the other hand, was convinced that it was a boy. The doctor smiled warmly as she began the scan. "Okay, let's take a look," she said, moving the ultrasound wand over Jacquie's stomach. The images on the screen began to take shape, and Jacquie and Noah leaned in, eager to see. The doctor pointed to the screen, showing them the tiny features of their baby. "Everything looks great," she said. "And now, let's see if we can find out what you're having." The doctor moved the wand to a different angle, and suddenly, the words "Female" appeared on the screen. Jacquie's eyes widened as she turned to Noah, a huge grin spreading across her face. "It's a girl!" the doctor exclaimed. Noah's face lit up with a mix of surprise and delight. "A girl!" he repeated, turning to Jacquie. "We're having a baby girl!" Jacquie squealed with excitement, tears of joy pricking at the corners of her eyes. She had been hoping for a girl, and now that she knew for sure, she felt like the luckiest person in the world. The doctor smiled and handed Jacquie a few photos of the ultrasound. "Congratulations, you two," she said. "You're going to have a beautiful baby girl." As they left the doctor's office, Jacquie and Noah were both beaming with happiness. They couldn't wait to share the news with Ellie Mae and Mya, and they knew that their daughters were going to be over the moon with excitement. The car ride home was filled with chatter and laughter as Jacquie and Noah speculated about their new baby girl. What would she look like? What would her personality be like? The possibilities seemed endless, and they couldn't wait to meet their little one. As they pulled into the driveway, Ellie Mae and Mya came running out to greet them, curious about the big smiles on their faces. "What did the doctor say?" Ellie Mae asked, her eyes wide with excitement. Jacquie and Noah exchanged a look, and then Jacquie blurted out the news. "We're having a baby girl!" The two little girls let out a collective squeal of delight, bouncing up and down with excitement. "Yay! A baby sister!" Mya exclaimed. The family hugged, basking in the joy and excitement of their new addition. They knew that their family was about to get a whole lot sweeter.
